Biggest threat to us this frame is a concerted effort on our ships. We may need to flex if they launch small strike packages NOE. Flexibility is the key to airpower:) We need to ensure we can detect, react, and negate all threats to our shipping. I expect 23rd to be engaging fighter sweep and or escort. Having said that. Each AOR has a dedicated 109 Flight and those should also be engaging fighter V fighter. 190s should be our Mossie/strike killers. Key to tonight is communication & discipline. Call out what you see.. Commit the appropriate # of forces. Kill Strikers. Center Cap--allocation of resources is going to be Key from you. Listen to what is being said from the Shipping AOR/and or GCI. Supplement the Shipping AORs as you see fit. If it appears there is a large strike group inbound..we will push 109s to engage with 190s positioning in case there are strikers embeded. NO strikers/bombers then I expect to see 190s stay clear and look. I fully expect a Sweep from 352nd to occur. They will be in yaks...fast, agile, OK turners. I expect the Sweep to try to engage our forces to distract or force a cycle so Strikers can get in. Cycle fast, get back to your AOR at a distance covering climb speed (say 200 or 225 vs 150 climb). Center Cap has luxury of being over head all the fields; set an appropriate bingo. Keys to success tonight: Communicate! Don't commit 100% to their sweep....need reserves to pick up the main package. Communicate! Discipline application/commitment of forces. Looking forward to a fun frame! Dobs |

When you say the Yak's are OK turners, do you mean better than both the 190 and the 109 or just better then the 190? |

Better than 190s...109g6 can hold its own vs them.. stubby wings, fast, but agile.. Sustained turn advantage to 109... Roll to yak.. Dobs |
