S3 Series

Mighty bit delayed.

In short it sucked but we kept the fight up. We all know the results. The escorts and enemy were a full grid away thoroughly engaged when our strikers went in. A small group splintered off and raced to you faster than Hurri's usually do. I know everyone tried to get there but we just didn't have the numbers fighter wise. It may not have made a difference if I parked everyone over top of the Ju's anyway. I should have read the rules more carefully, though Swordfish were limited to seaplane bases, so were our Ju's which we never adhered to IIRC. Fair is fair and I would not have sent some of the 4th that way knowing differently. We kept getting in little punches here and there, but simply didn't have enough assets to counter the RCAF in the west.

I just want to say:

4th: It was a pleasure having you guys with us and look forward to when a scenario allows your participation on the dark side again. You fight to the last man and stay in it when others would have logged off. Though the numbers may not show it sometimes the valor and will to fight is outstanding. A pain when dodging your escort on bomber missions and blessing when you are an asset. <S>

100th/AE: Consummate small squad professionals, no task is too big as the record proves again and again. A pleasure as always <S>

Knights/Nomads: Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. Always willing to give it a shot and look forward to the fall. <S>

Night Stalkers: It is always nice having you guys around to secret squirrel your way around. It was amusing to see you guys pop up to close a bridge in the middle of fights and scamper away, well most of the time.. <S>

LF6: Always a pleasure working with you guys. If TWF is an indication I look forward to when we can provide full strength in the fall <S>
