Based at F-110 with 17 for the party.
I set us up with 6 109s with robert as flight lead and the rest with me in KI43s.
Due to fuel considerations, I had all KIs loaded with 100% internal and drops.
1st sortie was to the 83,85, 87 area to cap for the nomads and it went off without a hitch.
The buffs missed 2 tgts at one site so kelly and light went down to clean it up since we were clear of enemies. We then rtb for next job.
2nd sortie much the same. We covered the buffs at same area while they closed the targets
and rtb.
3rd sortie was south to cover the haze and AEs in 81,116 area. Once more clear of enemy
and strikers expended ord. We then RV north near 79 while they rearmed and went in to cover again. This time GCI(bombr) warned of enemy traffic south coming our way and vectored the 109s to them. The KIs followed and we got in icon range when they booked south.
Returned to139 as the haze and AEs were finishing with ord, so we followed them to 79, but returned to 139 for 2 tgts still up. Sent a flight of 3 down to see and they managed to strafe down both for the close when a couple more enemy were spotted coming to us. We engaged
with the 109s high cover and lost one while ccajun chsed one down wnw of 139 on the deck and dispatched him(but no sign in buffer). Three witnesses, but no acmcam.
Meanwhile =weis= lost views and some stick functions, plus engine failure with no start and
had to ditch on the beach near 113.Last report had SAR up otw.
<S> drdart for a good plan and great communication among all parties.
looks like 4th had 1 kill(unconfirmed in buffer) and 1 loss in last skirmish.

What else can I say but great job in the west. Your group was able to cover the 3 different strike groups with minimal loss. Excellent work and it was an honor to work with the 4th fighter group. <S>
