Flew 190s out of 84, but a couple pilots had difficulty getting up to speed on that short runway and we eventually switched to F4. I was up out of 84 so I continued west to look for shipping.
Others came up F4 but we had one guy who's stick wouldn't work correctly and he had no rudder so he stood down.
We found the shipping in the western end, with us being all spread out Mtdew called us to split targets. Most of us met up to hit the ships but houndg was further back and so he was ordered to hit the northern tank group.
We attacked a line of transports with a DD as cover, there was another group the same just west of this one. I dropped on a transport and blew it up, however the DD tore me up even with me rolling and jinking away from it. My wing blew off just as I was about to ditch (should have bailed)
Remainder of the attack saw two more transports disappear but there was never a kill message in the buffer.
After returning to base the remaining night stalkers flew west out of 4 and flew along the northern C47 route but didnt see anything. They grabbed altitude and then turned to drop on 58. Unfortunately visibility in this terrain is as it is and it took a little too long for us to see the base. The 23rd jumped us and shot down Mtdew. Hobo dove in to target, dropped bombs and tried to run away but the nearby airfield AAA took him out.
Totals 3 tanks destroyed (estimate) 1 Freighter destroyed (verified in buffer) 2 Freighters destroyed (not in kill buffer) some Damage to F58
4 losses.
Sorry for the early exit for the frame.
I dont care what you guys say about settings, the AA in this terrain is WAY more deadly than others. I attacked shipping in the main to practice and that AA was no where near the same accuracy.
