All,

I was going to make this fancy but time eludes me. It was a bit of a slugfest as thought to be in this small of a terrain. Any sneak attacks can be reacted to quickly and prolonged engagements can get ugly fast. That said everyone kicked a lot of ass and we no doubt won the frame on points. We have a slight lead on ground targets as it is with the A2A still being tallied, 17 of those tanks really helped. They have the edge in base closures though having scored one more arty than us as well as 5 more outposts so expect the front to move in their favor. It is tough but not impossible to counter their large ground attack force. Quality over quantity will have to be our motto. That said, a few notes:

-With damage files universal, axis planes have bite again and the MC 202 was a surprising powerhouse this frame. With tanks it has 84min of flight. The Macchi might be more useful long range escorter than the 109.
-I'm going to qualify that with the P-38F proving to be rather miserable which I bet was more of a result of allied doctrine. We were almost always above the 38s and suckered them into turn fights which is not good when turning flat like they were. Changing tactics and using more spits might negate some of that Macchi macho.
-Outposts or any ack covered emplacement will be extremely difficult to jabo, however distracting ack while others run in is effective, similar to drag and bag fighter tactics. Given the unpredictable nature of Weenies, it may still be a crap shoot and is a drain on resources. I recommend not using fighters for closure unless we get desperate or have achieved air superiority.
-The ship routines to the NW is a honey pot for points, however it will require heavy cover or a late frame strike after we have enticed them to move resources to the front. It was a gamble sending the NS there early but it may have been worse with ground strikes closer to the front.

We have ourselves a small but effective team here a big <S> to you all and the janitors for making this a fun one.
