A big salute goes to DrDart for planning a fun filled hair raising plan.
We lifted from F2 in our Kates and Zekes and head along our assigned route. Soon DrDart goes us a new heading and we turned toward the 7.8x along with our Knight escorts and the 100th and 127 as cover.
The CV was found and our new heading was for the 6.8x and now the fun was to begin. Watching the buffer we saw friendlies falling from the sky and this was making our approach nerve wrenching. Still we pressed on knowing we had a job to do. Soon we saw the prize again. Our escorts went to work and we saw a lot of Allie planes go down. We knew it would be covered so I picked one CV to go after. I called for the left one because it seemed to be the less covered. In we went with our torps hungry to reach it's target. I got my torp off, but soon feel prey to the F4F. Again and again we taken out and soon, there was only one Kate left but not before we saw in the buffer, CV destroyed by Atrick! WTFG guys! Although we took a major hit, it was worth it. I know Kngfsh made it back and tried again without any luck.
Thanks go to the 100th and 127 for getting us there and in. Without our escorts, we would had never made it in. You guys rock! Our little band of Knights escorts led by Swanee did one hell of a job for us again.
I will try and post some pictures soon and hope others got some acmcam of the attack.

Awesome job Hawk and the rest of the knights. I only wish you didn't lose that many on your first pass we probably could have sunk both CV's right then. We did go back on a second sortie and were able to sink the second CV.
I enjoy CO'ing your group. You guys always give me 100%.

As it turned out, you should have waited about 3 more minutes, then all of the F4F's were gone and we were buzzing around drawing flak, I didn't see you guys head in as my head was on a swivel in that close to the carrier. Great job as always

Beaver stole my thought...three more minutes and the F4s were gone. Unknown if the results would have been better or worse. But it was a beautiful site to watch and participate in.
