To all Japanese Forces:

It is with a heavy heart that I report, the body of Admiral Yamamoto has been recovered in the jungle of the island of Bouganville. The Admiral was found grasping the hilt of his Katana. Admiral Yamamoto was in flight to inspect the brave troops when his plane was ambushed and shot down.

The Admiral will receive a State Funeral in Tokyo and is expected to receive the title of Marshal Admiral and will be awarded the Order of the Chrysanthemum.

We have received word that Germany has honored the Admiral with the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.

The Admiral is survived by his wife Reike and two sons and two daughters.

Japan mourns our fallen hero.

Remember this moment during the coming battles. We must not let his death be in vain. Hold your head high like that of the samurai. Here we hold the line for the Emperor, for Yamamoto and for Japan!

Admiral Akiyama is leading a naval destroyer mission from the Shortland Islands to reinforce the troops at Villa. They will use the northern route to avoid Allied air force intervention around and west of Rendova. It is reported a second troop convoy will leave some time later. Rear Admiral Shunji will lead the group along the same route.

Our Carriers, Zuiako and Ryioto will be northeast of Bougainville Island.

Intelligence reports air reconnaissance and radio traffic indicate a heavy build up of Allied naval forces near Guadalcanal. However the exact location is still uncertain.

Gents, we will have a slug fest right out the gate in Frame 3. We hold Airfield 38, the allies hold F40. They are a minutes flight from each other.

SQUAD ROLES FOR FRAME 3

4th IJN will launch from CV and CAP 38 - 40.

352nd JAAF. Defend 38, attack 40 and CAP area until 4th arrives. Finish off 40 if possible, then climb to attack the inevitable incoming allied bombers.

JG Your choice of IJN or JAAF. Help CAP protect 38 and Attack 40 early on. later in frame maybe hunt the allies Naval Forces gathering near Guadalcanal.

Also to clarify rules. If your squad is a Navy (Cv based) unit, you must TO from the CV at beginning of the frame. However you may rebase at any airfield..However YOU MUST continue to fly the Navy plane set.
If your squad is designated an Army (land based) unit, YOU MUST continue to fly the army plane set for the duration of the frame.

There were many infractions to the above rule on both sides, so I decided on a warning. Penalties will be handed out moving forward.
