Hey Fellas:
Thought we better get some quick ideas together for tonight. The Allies have the following airfields:

Allied Airfields:
F94 (E/W)*
F20 (E/W)*
F85 (N/S)
F80 (Grass Field)*
F84 (N/S)
F90 (E/W)
F22 (E/W)*
F79 (E/W)
F14 (E/W)
F77 (NE/SW)
F78 (E/W)
F83 (N/S)
Plus, a few that are really too far to mention. The ones with the asterisk (*) are smaller and closer to our airfields.

We have the following airfields:

Axis Airfields:
F81 (E/W)
F83 (N/S)
F82 (E/W)
F4 (Large multi-runway)
F6 (Large multi-runway)
F16 (E/W)
F86 (E/W)
F9 (N/S)

Important to note:

1. As long as we are not required to destroy all the guns (too many targets), we have a chance at base closures.

2. The airstart is at F6 and puts us at 20,000 FT.

3. The radar is 60 miles (3 grids). That means that there is no way to take off and grab altitude off radar. That is not the case for them.

Squads / Available A/C:

Luftflotte 6(JG51/TK)
Bf109G-2, Bf109F-4,C202 s.III, C.202 s. VII, Bf110C4, JU88A, He111H3, Ju87D

4th FG
Bf109G-2, Bf109F-4,C202 s.III, C.202 s. VII, Bf110C4, JU88A, He111H3, Ju87D

Dolittle's Raiders (DRs)
Bf109G-2, Bf109F-4,C202 s.III, C.202 s. VII, Bf110C4, JU88A, He111H3, JU87D

69 Composite Wing
Bf109G-2, Bf109F-4,C202 s.III, C.202 s. VII, Bf110C4, JU88A, He111H3, JU87D

Intelligence reports:
1. We have good intelligence to say that they will be fielding about 7 bombers (23rd and 8th). They have the toughest bombers available (B24 and B17).
2. They will have upwards of 23 or more fighter pilots (352, AE, and RCAF 127). They will use them for close escort, forward sweep, and a few on bomber killer duty.
3. We believe they will target F81 as it is the nearest airfield to their airstart field (F77). If we do not disrupt their bombers, they will close F81 and severely damage another (possibly F82).
4. They will most likely send up a small group of fighters from F20 to perch south looking for our bombers.

Goal: Close F20 and F94 (if time permits, strike F80)

Questions:
1. Would it be wise to send all our fighters initially to intercept the bomber group, while our bombers get airborne and feint to the north from F6?
2. Would it be better to just focus all our fighters and bombers on a run from F6 to F20/F94 and hope we can close more than they can?

ORDERS:
1. Fighters will take flight and grab to 30k+ and prepare to intercept their bombers. They will most likely hit F81/F83 to start with from 28K-30K. Our fighters MUST blow through and strike the lead bombers. Please do not waste any time on the Ai until the lead is killed. With the CA bomber login, the pilot gets to jump to the next a/c. We just need to keep killing the lead bombers each time. We don't want to lose too much altitude with each pass, if possible. We'll watch for the largest crowd of enemy on dar and go for them. Once our fighter attack has been exhausted, we'll need you to RTB and give bomber support. We'll need to watch out for them to use NOE bombers/fighters from fields F20 and F94.

2. Bombers will launch (F6) and try to get to 22k before heading to F20 and F94. We'll use secondary fields with Ju87s to finish off base closures. Our goal is to pick up these two fields during the night. We'll need a trooper at some point.

3. Let's get everyone on the RED S3 Channel for TS please.

Some things to keep in mind.

Fighter fuel is 80 min at 100% Throttle.
It will take a full 20 mi grid for fighters to get up to 20k using WEP. That drops fighter fuel time to about 60+ min.

* With nowhere to hide off grid except NOE, we could try an NOE attack sometime in the frame from 86 to 20.

81, 82 and 83 are smaller fields ..easy for enemy to close
86 is a larger concrete, one runway field should be tougher for enemy to close
6 is a very Large multiple runway field and should be difficult for enemy to close

positive: we have a small front to defend of only about 50 miles. So unlike the MvM S3, we can station fighter groups to sectors, but they are close enough to support other squads when the allies attack. We also get 60 mile (3 grid) DAR? then we should be able to prepare our defense for a large bomber force.

I'm thinking they may try to hit us High and Low below DAR to split us up.
