Post subject: | Frame 2 orders... |
I may put some finishing touches on this saturday/early sunday: <Edit-- ALL dive-bombers will hit the radar installations South of the field with intel picts of targets in another post. Will announce who hits which one once in flight and known numbers of bomb carrying fighters. End Edit> All out assault on F1 for closure. The goal is to close F1 which will leave only one more radar covering the Channel at F68, which can be taken down in frame 3. Later in the frame some bombers will close F78 and eliminate its radar. This will allow more freedom in frame 4/5. Divebombing 109s will hopefully mess with their heads and cause them to look for bombers low, when they will be arriving at altitude. ALL: First frame was a great success however we lost too many airframes with the points they garnered. Try to stay alive!!! Ack/guns DO NOT have to be destroyed to close a field/location. ALL roll at T=0 ALL pilots keep your eyes open for shipping locations which we may hit later in the frame to garner points. ALL pilots keep your eyes open for NOE raiders on our Northern Shipping announced by the janitors here. 352nd - base F55 - no bombs first sortie If we are lucky the allies will send the first fighters lowish in a rush to F1 figuring we are otw NOE. Don't go down low to start with. Climb N at first, when feasible turn to F1 so as to arrive as a sweep at altitude. Enemy from 32 will be first to arrive at Dover followed shortly with others from 19 and 34. The idea is to keep them lowish, below 15k if possible. Don’t pursue too low as others will be arriving with alt. I don’t want our fighters too low before our dive bombers and bombers show up. Kill what you can but stay alive best you can to start with. Following sorties will be CAP/Sweep at F1 until it closes. If you so choose you can take bombs on subsequent sorties. Our dive-bombers will be dropping W to E and exiting then climbing over the channel to return for CAP. You might watch for Allies chasing our dive-bombers East and pick them off. JG51/TK- Start Base F51 109E4- at least 3 airframes with bombs. Climb towards F32(NorthWest) for 1/2 sector then turn to F1 for Cap/divebombing. Don’t chase em too low, at least until bombers are close to arriving. There are lots of targets to start with. Dive bomb from West to East so that you can stay fast and exit over the channel to grab altitude and return to F1 for cap. Rinse and repeat to F1. Take bombs each sortie if you can 8th- If you are flying bombers, use DR/Nomad orders. If you are flying fighters use 23rd orders. 23rd- Base F52 109E4 - bombs Climb NW then head to F1 for divebombing. There are lots of targets to start with. Dive bomb from West to East so that you can stay fast and exit over the channel to grab altitude and return to F1 for cap. Rinse and repeat to F1. Take bombs each sortie if you can DR/Nomads - Base - F23 He111, bombs. Load out to be announced before T=0. Launch and stay off dar East of 22 area. 25k would be a nice alt to come in at if feasible. Be ready to run in when asked, which may be earlier than you think. Dive-bombers will have hit the area around the port already. Pick your targets smartly with the he111. Ack does NOT have to be down to close any field. Later in the night send a pair or three NOE to F78. There are just 3 targets to go down at 78… 2 emitters and an HQ for closure. There are only 3 x 40mm there i believe, careful. Questions/comments welcome. <S> |

Orders received. You may want to check all the targets that are required to close F1. There are a lot of them. Darryl <S> |

Recon: 12 targets associated with the radar installations at F1. 43 targets (not including 9 houses) of military value are located at F1. 1. Your dive bombers could easily remove the radar targets. There are many guns all over F1 (though not required for closure, they will be deadly for the dive bombers). Coming from West to East they will all be lined up nicely. 2. Our high altitude bomber group can make a huge dent on the rest of the military valued targets from South to North. Time Hack: T+0 - Take-off from F26 (airstart 20k) Head to F23 maintain 20k level for 15 minutes T+15 - Arrive over F26 at 20k level and turn to F9 heading 145 degrees for 19 minutes T+34 - Arrive over F9 at 20k level and turn to F1 heading 136 degrees for 8 minutes T+42 - TOT (Please arrange for the bombers to be covered over target after 42 mins. flight time.) We want to return to Field 9 for 2-3rd sorties, please. REQUEST FOR KACEYJ: Please do not require houses to be destroyed (9). Feels weird targeting them in the S3. Thanks, Darryl |

Yes there are lots of targets at F1, most of which are grouped together which makes an easier target. Dive-bomber targets will be announced after we roll (and I know how many we have) and should be dropping high and pulling out no lower than 5-6k. The idea is to get the allies thinking there are bombers around somewhere so as to upset their defense. There are 3 targets ( I think) that are in the dock areas labeled bridges, but are not bridges, which need to be destroyed as well. I have the target list at home but am at work...I'll post more about them tonight. Thanks for the input. <S> |
