LW launched from 167 and 111. 23rd/8th headed north to attempt an intercept of RAF as far north as possible. 4FG launched and CAPed the fleet at both high and low alt. LF6 launched from 111 and vectored west to intercept RAF. As our fleet approached 6,2 the RAF approached 7,3 and was engaged by 23/8 from the NW and LF6 from SE, once engaged the Hi 4FG cover moved north to engage. The first attacks were repelled with moderate fighter losses and no damage to the fleet. The second wave of Allied AC were from various altitudes including NOE and directions. With GCI support the AXIS pilots were directed to intercept these attacking AC over the fleet. The defense was again successful losing only one destroyer. Good job all. 4FG launched 14 squad members.

I noted on two occasions RAF manned fighter aircraft exploding at my 12 at d4 without later kill ID. Unfortunately, I did not have ACMCAM running, but it looked suspiciously like someone pulling the plug to avoid KIA. Just saying.

Good frame bombr- ! I think we all appreciated the gci to be sure. Was one of the most enjoyable and sweating frames in awhile for me...and I suspect a number of us.

A couple of screen shots for those that didn't engage the bombers but tangled with the spits/hurris:

Well done! 4th will also take frame 2. I think Coolone can handle it.
