All I see is a blank page. Between this and the update SNAFU, I may forego this S3. Don't look now, but a woman of large appetite—wearing a horned helmet—is standing in the wings, warming up her voice. <S> Nick |

Something up with the S3 site so had to put it on the S3 forum site. Should work now. Basically the fleet will try and hug the coastline all the way through. |

Rain doesnt work anymore so thats out. But you will have low clouds and low light conditions. The battlecruisers can take a pounding and the AAA should be fierce downlow. Allies have new FMs for their Spitfire Vs so not sure if they are better down low or not. |

Not to beat a dead horse, but I am trying to figure out the best way for the Allies to locate the ships. Unlike the actual events, the Allies know we are moving a fleet through the channel so the element of surprise is lost. If they can see the ships while flying over their own coast, there is no need to attempt any misdirection. But, if they must get within 5 miles of the fleet before they can locate it, it may be worth our while to rally in the channel somewhere else and protect a phantom fleet until they stumble upon the real fleet. Will we see the fleet as AI’s in the water? <S> Nick |

tmoa, the allies know the approx starting position of our fleet but not its course, via the public map here: They gonna have to fly a minimum of 75 miles or so to see our fleet going up our coast. http://www.squadselectseries.com/events/CD/CDmap.pdf |

Basically the Luftwaffe just needs to keep that fleet covered at all times. If everyone rolls at the same time and runs out of a gas at the same time then the Allies will have a free run on the fleet. That still will not be easy considering their aircraft to attack with but it becomes much harder if you have a CAP in the area to interfer in their runs. The ships will appear as 12 DD2 white destroyers and 2 DD1 grey destroyers. The grey destroyers represent the battlecruisers and are tougher to sink. |
