SORTIE 1
4th FG launched after bombers from F26 with air start at 20K and continued climb to >28K. One pilot RTB with an engine problem and rejoining the 4th FG later. All pilots were accounted for as the bomber stream turned inbound to attack F1. 4th pilots supported their bomber stream as they bombed F1, F27 and RTB to F36 with the loss of 1 bomber. 4th was never intercepted by Allied Air Power and RTB to CV2 after escorting bombers to F36. 2 Pilots lost on recovery.

SORTIE 2
4th FG launched for 2nd sortie at T+110 to support incoming bombers hitting F43 and F44 providing support for troop landings. The 4th encounter Allied AC over F44 and destroyed 1 bomber and 4 fighters. 4th FG AC were involved in a tangle with Allied AC in the vicinity of F43-F44 with only two losses. After 4th FG broke off their support of their bomber stream, an enemy four ship was trying to intercept trailing pilots of the 4th FG who were re-called to CV2. Previously recovered pilots launched from CV2 to support these returning pilots at grid cross 1.7. The enemy AC finally gave up their chase and RTB to their fields and the remaining pilots of 4th FG landed safety at CV2.
