Since nobody else is stepping up, I'll CO frame 4. Here's a plan. If you don't like it, please take the big chair from me
Phase 1 (first 30min) – Quick Strike and Retreat - Target area is G119. Airfield is priority (18 points if closed), ground vehicles are secondary (0.5 to 0.25 points each). The idea is to build some 'easy' points up.
LAF6 – G117 (strike G119)
23rd – G120 (NOE strike G119) --- delayed start approx. 10min
AE – L53 (forward sweep/cover)At T+0, AE/LAF6 launch and grab to G114 area while 23rd remains in tower.
Once at altitude (AE 15-20K, LAF6 10-12K), turn direct G119.
AE makes protective forward sweep ahead and put up protective shield to N and W of target.
23rd will strike when AE makes their turn to target area (23rd should be unchallenged initially, since coming NOE from outside areas that allies can attack... and larger force visible on radar has attention NE/central).
Once strikers are complete, all retreat to axis territory and regroup.
Tactical situation at time will determine if another sortie is possible. If not, strikers quickly convert to fighter planes.Phase 2 (middle 60min) – Reactive Defense – Attrite allied bomb forces... this is likely where are big points are with B17s/B24s now in the picture.
LAF6 – North
23rd - South
AE – CentralWe will focus on allied bomb forces after the initial strikes are complete. Replane into your fighter of choice. Suggest a mix of 109s and 190s to be able to handle both bombers and their escorts. Be prepared to be vectored around and be, um, ‘reactive’ to the tactical situation.
Those out of fighter lives, ask CO for suggested tactical targets in your area to build our side some points.Phase 3 (last 60min) – Reactive Defense & Strike LAF6 – North/Central
23rd – South / Central
AE – Central (Strike)We will maintain reactive defense, but convert one of our squads (AE) to a strike role later in frame. Possible targets will be 119 (if not already closed), 114/ships/bridge, T38/ships/bridge. Coordinate with CO when you are ready to do a strike.
