Plan started well. Until about T+5.

With our heavy assets offshore climbing and waiting for the Allies to vacate the area, the fighters went forward to engage the larger number of USAAF planes. Wicked losses in the north to our fighters/strippers were felt throughout the night as cat and mouse became rabid dogs after a two-legged cat. In the south, our strikers worked over the Allied defense and closed or damaged French airfields.

As the frame ground on, Kampfgeschwader bombers took out their primary field and ran for home. Shortly afterwards, the Allied bombers finally showed. The Luftwaffe response was light due to attrition, but we were able to get some of our interdiction fighters to their targets who report little Allied cover.

Late in the frame, with a 1:3.5 deficit in numbers, our strikers and interdiction fighters stood down while the remnants of the fighter sweep pressed on to the last man.

Fortunately, we get to drop another quarter into the machine and go at them again in a few days.

Thank you, all for your dedication and commitment to fight this battle.
