SOF Frame 2 ORDERS LF-6 --- F-112. Bf 109G, FW 190 CO's choice. Bar CAP where shown. 23rd FG --- F-173. Bf 109G, FW 190 CO's choice. Bar CAP where shown. 352nd FG --- F-167. Bf 109G, FW 190 CO's choice. Bar CAP where shown. Following initial takeoff any available field is acceptable for refuel, rearm. Any CAP Flight within 5 miles of the shoreline will NEVER appear on enemy radar. Flight Leaders are encouraged to note that there is some distance from the Channel Shoreline and where your available bases happen to be. Budget enough fuel to climb to 25+ thousand feet to meet the initial fighter sweep, AND to be called to engage fighter/bomber type aircraft at ZERO altitude. Each of our available aircraft types has individual fuel characteristics, just insure that your pilots have a reasonable expectation of RTB. If the Allies do their thing interestingly, there will be simultaneous attacks in divergent locations. Flight leaders who sight enemy activity which may not be on radar are encouraged to evaluate the strength and report it on country channel. Those units requesting assistance will be supplemented by the nearest available flight(s). Following refuel/rearm stops each Group is requested to either rejoin your own engaged unit, or to reestablish the CAP zones to intercept the next wave. Our Axis Force Pilots performed wonderfully in Frame 1 against far superior numbers (some of whom even got resurrected). All we can ask for is a good fight! Kill 'em all! <S> Radar Coverage omitted on the Janitors' Map in the SW corner of the chart added Available Allied Missions Allies may not revisit any of the greyed-out locations. |

Thoughts: We have 3 radar emitters at 136 that should be working and they are NOT on the target list. They didn't go down last frame either. Does this mean the donkey screwed up and we really don't have radar there, or do we? I just went into the S3 arena and they ARE there, so they better damn well be working. Kinda nice they don't get any points for taking it down if they figure this out. So 136 may well need protected carefully as really expands the coverage. Also, a good NOE pilot could easily go down the river just N of the operations line and come in from behind to hit 157 without being seen. I kinda imagine ack would give him away IF someone is close enough to see it, which we most likely won't be, unless we catch them at the mouth of the river. I wonder if they got stung bad enough 1st frame that some or all of the strikers come in with alt and escorts? Also remember jabo said something about more allied might be better in heavy fighters. <S> |

^^^^ Go to the head of the class, Mr. Split! Map altered to include the coverage from the noted radar emitter. It's operational presence gives us a MUCH more enhanced coverage of the target area. While they are certainly achievable missions, plinking the opponents' radar has never been a Wolf Favorite as a tactic. It "could" be that F-136 is not designated as a "Special Ops. Mission" in recognition that we should have plenty of these: "The Managment" is pretty clever at keeping things "fair" in these Events. As a note, one Zone must be attacked in 3 Frames, the other Zone in 2 Frames. Following Frame 2, the Allies cannot come back to the Southern Zone more than once for the remainder of the Series. |

Plinking radar is not a point getter but guys get it fixated in their head and its hard to stop them. |
