Horrido!

TY for getting a planning thread going early.

- southern routes will be in DAR for most of their run. But closing 33 and 37 should be given a priority.

- northern runs have BDA limits if we are looking to close 43 and 74. 43 is a tuf nut cause it is large and many tgts there. 74 can be closed in one pass by 5 bufs, but then we lose all the boat points later.
So I am not for hitting 43 or 74, except the boats at 74 and upstream a bit.

- the DAR at 63 is worth looking at, as it allows Allies to peer way over the North Sea. Destroying that sucker allows us good approaches from the east and northeast.

- I have to see if there are any other DAR sittes than the Chain Home ones. So will recce 43 to find out, and report later.

On a historical note, the LW had better DAR at the time of the battle. Wursburg and Freya ( sp?) were mobile and shorter wavelength. So good accuracy for ack and maybe 60 miles detection for attacking planes.

See ya tonight.

The thing the Germans never got that the Brits excelled at was the centralized command that brought in all the information then acted on it making it a force multiplier. The Germans were much more divided into individual groups. (at least that's the impression I have after reading/watching different things)

Horrido!

There's a lotta considerations about defending a single or "primary" tgt area than trying to efen the whole country. So I personally saw that back in 1972 when flying into the most heavily defended real estate and the bast trained AAA and SAM operators in the world.

As Cool has stated, the key is to use the tools at your disposal to achieve a goal.

If we wish to have a lite fest and have the final score based upon lite v lite stats, then we will have to have better lites than the other guy.

I am not happy with the score being VP's and not fields closed and ground gained. So we have to play by the rules.

I say we should go for the remaining small airfields and then regroup.

See ya all tonight.

It would be really nice if the AAA at 1 was anywhere near as effective as it should be instead of the pop guns we've seen in the first 2 frames.
