Bombr, Coolone, Gums, Sakai, Darryl and Dr. Dart: I have a prior meeting (4th Squad Nite) and have reset the time to Thursday 3 March 2017 at 19:30hrs CST. Additionally we received this note from Map and Summary: http://www.squadselectseries.com - new map and summary up Ground fog in England stopped a planned assault by Bomber Command on the two advanced airfields of the Luftwaffe near Dover. By the time it cleared the German assault was underway hitting the interior RDF site near Dunkirk England. As well West Malling and Rochester and Southend Port were targeted by fast flying Ju88s. The slower but more durable RAF Wellingtons finally got airborne and in a tree-hoping attack came in on Lympne and Hawking taking down the few structures here and causing extensive damage to the fields effectively closing them to German operations. 24 Wellingtons were lost during the four main attacks hitting hard at Bomber Command morale. Luftwaffe bomber and strike units were feeling just as beaten up loosing 53 aircraft during the day but able to claim knocking out a radar station and airfield. Fighter-bombers for each side were very active with Hurricanes taking out at least 14 panzers and Bf110s several trucks and a Matilda. The main fighters continue to go toe to toe with them both claiming about 25 victories each but Spitfire IIs only lost 15 while Bf109E4Aas lost 33 to enemy action. Ju88s for the first time hit London causing extensive damage to the warehouse district but on the long return home several were lost lacking escort to make it back to France. Frame too close to call. BDA for both sides still not complete as well as pilot losses. Frame 3 will see 18 and 6 closed as well as 35 and 68. Luftwaffe must base back in France which may not be a bad thing. Notes: 1. Continue to have overloading issues with AI routines. Some routines were put on hold by the general and then had to be run by CM command. Arena was reloaded at some time due to the lack of a space before .loadmo. Some logging was lost until it was corrected by yours truly. 2. Due to everything hitting the fan both sides had their AI missions launched out of turn or after a substantial delay. Will try and simplify the general AI in the arena to allow the important ones to load when and where they are needed. JABO Points: http://www.squadselectseries.com/events ... ummary.pdf Map: http://www.squadselectseries.com/events/MOL/MOLmap.pdf Jabo seems to say F1 will not be available for the Luftwaffe, which I am checking on. Horrido! The really bad news for us is if JABO hits the "destroy all" button for F1. There are two radar tgts associated with F1 and I'll check to see if the Allied folks destroyed them with Hurris or Wells. Using the port is not as big a deal as having radar that allows us to peer way back toward Downtown. Otherwise, our nearest DAR is on the French coast and we are very limited WRT our GCI and early warning. I'll check the S6 real quick and report back. As of 1200 CDT 15 March, the BDA is still FUBAR. More news at 11. Herr Gums sends... P.S. If we wish to use our buffs as bait or simply get BDA points, then I'll paraphrase Heinie Aderholt's famous welcome to the first Air Commando pilots back in 1964. I was just starting pilot training and would not join the 604th ACS until October 1967. "I understand that there are some shit hot fighter pilots here that are looking for a place to die. I am here to lead you to that place!" |

C1 is a port, there are no airstrips there. You shouldn't be able to roll a plane from there even if it's open. |
