Twelve pilots answered the call for Frame 1: Besea, Countt, Crommm, Foss-j, Heaven, Hookem, Okdoc-, Ozzone, Pppepp, Rock--, Swanee, and Waggaa. We managed 3 sorties flying out of France. Getting some altitude under our bellies helped a bunch. The action was fast and furious in all sorties with the 109 proving to be a capable fighter against the Spits and Hurri's. We found the Hurri's to be very durable absorbing huge punishment before going down while the Spits were very maneuverable. Limited cannon loadout on the 109 means you must be frugal with them and hold off until very close. All sorties were savage battles with numerous 109's returning to base all shot up. Our ground crews did phenomenal work getting us up to fight again. By Frame's end we did OK. We shot down 4 Hurri's, 5 Spits, and 4 Wellingtons for a total of 13 kills and 9 assists. We lost 3 pilots to enemy fire and 1 to a crash caused by a faulty set of foot pedals. Of special performance note was Countt who downed 2 Wellingtons and had 3 assists. Not bad for a relative S3 rookie with only 36 Frames experience. Good job Countt! Special Kudo's to veteran Experten Ozzone who scored 2 Hurri's and 2 Spits for a total of 4 kills......one short of Ace in a Frame. Nice work Ozzone! We're looking forward to Frame 2. S!
