Here we go again. If you have any ideas or concerns let's present those here.

I did see the post about the 23rd flying Axis during a series in which the P-40 will be in use by the Allies.

Again, if you want to present an idea or express a concern, this is the thread for it.

Sorry about that 23rd. Got fixated on the British Commonwealth aspect and forgot you flew the same aircraft in China.

Rules may be a bit confusing about basing.

Each squad is assigned their own base to fly from.
Those bases that indicate MC200 or Ju88 may only base those aircraft.
The MC200 and Ju88 can be available at any other base as well.

During a frame a squad can be moved to another base as long as no other squad operates from there and if its a MC200 or Ju88 only base they are flying those aircraft.

See more confusing.

As long as you are in the mood to confuse the populace, would you explain the game map?

    I see 9 airfields on one side and 2 on the other.
    Nice hexagons, what are they? GV target environments?
    I still don't see a points summary; what are we supposed to hit in order to score VP?

Jabo,

Is the map truncated? I don't see any Ju88 bases and even some of the hexagons are cut off. Also, Crete is not visible.

I still get a blank page for the points summary.

Sorry about that Tmoa, I had upload issues I think.

Away until Sunday of course.

All the grass fields may only base the MC200. The one large field may only base the Ju88.

For points taking down the Wellington and P40 gives you good points, aircraft range from 3 to 1 in points.
For ground structures the industrial warehouses, docks at ports, hangars and fuel/ammo dumps score 0.5 pts while things like houses and smaller structures score 0.25.
For AI tanks are tough and score 1.0 pts with halftracks scoring 0.5.

Each side has two ground force hexagons to the either side of the frontline with the other two be to the SW or SE. In these hexagon locations you will find tanks, halftracks and AAA of a varied mixture.

This is from memory but will get the map and spreadsheet updated as soon as possible on Sunday.

Thank you Jabo, that is helpful. Unfortunately, I would like to see the boundaries for flight and I still don't have those.

Here is my idea of a game plan thus far (with a few questions):

    • Ground vehicles in the area of the hexagons are good targets...but, Bf-109's are not eligible to carry bombs so MC200's will be used. We could hit the close areas within the first 15 minutes prior to enemy fighters being launched.

    • Question for the Night Stalkers and Nomads: you are the ground target experts, therefore I would like to know what you see as the best use of your abilities. (i.e. long range bombing with He-111's, or short range MC200 type strikes)

    • If the numbers carry over from last series, a sizable group will be provided by the American Eagles. How do you feel about intercepting incoming aircraft? Although Field 19 is closed near Tobruk, there is a village with a runway (is that 54?) that may be a way for the enemy to "back door" us. (Jabo, can you clarify the use of any field inside the Tobruk area?)

    • This leaves Luftflotte 6 and the 23rd. Depending on a response from NS and the Nomads as to how they best see their talents being used, one group (Lf6 or 23rd) may be assigned escort duty for strikers and the other group will perform ground strikes.

(I am not sure how effective looking for shipping to destroy will be.)

I do not see any fields marked for Ju88 use.

At T+0: any bombers (if used)/strikers will be launched.
At T+15: fighters will launch to address any enemy strikers or to assist friendly strikers if needed.

Group leaders please respond.
