S3 Series

We seem to be experiencing an intelligence black out. Therefore we will press forward with the understanding that things may change within minutes of T+0.

Assignments:

Main Strike Wing: Night Stalkers/Nomads (Still no idea what fields support Ju88's)

Secondary Strike Wing: 23rd/Lf6 (MC200's at designate MC200 fields G6 and G7 respectively.)

Intercept/Escort: American Eagles (Fields 20 and 21. Field 22 if necessary.)

Orders:

Main Strike Wing: Primary targets will not be Tobruk as this would violate the rules. The game map doesn't show any other ports for targeting. Airfields 62 and 23?

Secondary Strike Wing: Fly MC200 aircraft from G6 and G7 and destroy ground vehicles in areas marked by the magenta hexagons.

Intercept/Escort Wing: Fields 20 and 21 are listed as small fields and therefore AE may have to split their squadron between the two to avoid overstepping either field. (Use field 22 if it becomes necessary.)

At T+0 the strikers can lift while the American Eagles in fighter aircraft will need to wait until T+15 to launch as per the Series rules.

We should be able to get the MC200's into enemy territory and destroy numerous ground vehicles before their air defense can be launched. Depending on the aircraft and airfield used by the Main Strike Wing, ground targets at Tobruk could be destroyed prior to air defense launch as well.

Don't think we are allowed to hit Tobruk area:

3. Operational Restrictions - each side may only conduct operations in the area outlined in the game map. Some airfields may only base a specific aircraft type and are listed on the map. Those airfields that have no indication my base any of the available a\c. Tobruk is British but no attacks may be conducted against it and its airfield is closed for the series.

Good catch. Strikers will need to hit other targets then.

Horrido!

Sorry, but a "downgrade" this week from WB, no real S3 map on Monday, login to S3 is flaky even on Sunday a few hours before frame starts, no way to use the "real" S3 settings for practice until game time, and the beat goes on.

Fer chrissakes, I know there are gatecrashers, but they seem to be easy to spot. So a convoluted login seems overkill. Just change the password and interested folks can get it using TS at the last minute if they haven't paid attention.

I know it takes a few days to sort out scores/losses of the last frame of a series. But a new series should be able to stand on its own from day 1, huh?

The lack of a real S3 setting practice arena hurts we lowly buff pukes more than the lites. OTOH, a new FM for a lite during this past week or so can make a difference if you are flying a certain version of a certain lite.

This one is not ready for prime time, so I get to watch Sunday night football.

I understand the overall sentiment Gums. I am seriously dismayed at the lack of information and communication. I said I will CO this frame, so I will CO this frame. But, if everyone gives it a pass, I understand.

Two available options are to have everyone jump in MC200's and attack GV's as quickly as possible or to have everyone jump in fighters and have a melee. (i.e. MA type furball)
