First off thanks for making the job easy sitting in the big chair<{S}> I thought we did pretty well besides the Ai shooting gallery that the US fighter were performing on us. We kept the big points pretty much even an "eye for an eye" until they were able to sneak in a (literally) last minute kill on out Kaga. Think we did ok for what we had and not having numbers. Please give your thoughts for the frame as it will help for next frame's CO to plan. Star of the night goes to -deak- for being a one man show at the KAGAs and trying to keep them afloat. <{S}> |

Ho or slashing attacks work well if you can time them properly. Also, as long as you maintain some speed, a Wildcat can simply not keep up with you at altitude.I ran into 6 of them late in the frame, and by respecting the 50 cals range and keeping my speed up, I easily pulled away and out climbed them all ( was out of cannon and decided to rtb so you could get this AAR) |

First time I had used the CA script with AIs. Worked fine except I had set up my Kates to all carry 2X250kg bombs, but when I switched to the AI it was loaded with a Torp. ???? This needs to be fixed! |

The US had many more Wildcats on defense than the IJN had Zeros. The two main IJN attacks were the most coordinated and flawless I have seen in any of these Carrier events. Hitting them low and then coming in high which cant be easy to hit ships that are hard to see at the best of times. I saw at least two carriers missed by torps just astern and all the torp attacks were conducted at reasonable range and not one man suicide runs. Many of the torp carriers had to be chased and tracked down allowing the high bomb attack to come in with minimal opposition. And I saw Juice go down. So that should be an instant morale win Frame 3 the IJN has a chance to close the gap with a strike or two on Midway. A high Kate should be able to bomb the Hangars at altitudes the F2As and Wildcats dont like. But its never easy flying IJN. |

Bomber YOu have to individually choose the loadout for EACH drone. They don't autoselect the loadout you choose for the lead plane. There is a loadout button for each wingman. The bomber login for s3's is installed in the TA for some practice. Also, if your going to attach with each drone individually, and want them to have their ord for each attack it helps very much to bring up your map, zoom in on drone and left click ( or is it right click) and hold down that mouse button to drag the drone off into the distance a short way, at which point they fly that line and circle the finish point until ordered to do otherwise, slowly descending I imagine.......commence your attack and when finished transfer to your next drone and he still has his ord. Without orders they will drop when you drop, and you make your transfer, only to find they got no ord left. Again, trials\practice in the TA to learn the in's and out's of them |
