Welcome to #100!

Launch Fleet at 4.11.6.5 HDG 090* 30mph
T+0 4.11.6.5
T+60 One Course Change Allowed - Turn 135*
T+120 HDG 135*
T+180 HDG 135*

Scout 2 - Launch T+0 HDG 115*
Scout 3 - Launch T+0 HDG 130*
Scout 4 - Base F18 - Launch T+0 HDG 075*

Scouts must fly either B5N Kate or D3A Val (has forward gun)

EDIT @ T-06:30:00

Scout 4 from F18 has G4M as option.

If Scout 1-3 prefer to fly G4M, they may roll from F18 adjusting your HDG accordingly.

Squad Assignments

Luftflotte 6 - A6M2 - CAP for Kaga Fleet
4th FG - A6M2
23rd FG - A6M2
RCAF - Strike
8th FG - Strike

Lf6 - will launch at T+0 in A6M2 for Kaga CAP. By rules, you cannot be further than 60 miles from Fleet until the ENEMY CARRIER group is located. Will coordinate positioning during frame. When CV is found, I will ask for 3 volunteers to stay with the Kaga group while the others move to enemy CV location.

4th and 23rd - Roll when ENEMY CARRIER group found. Escort the RCAF and 8th.
RCAF and 8th - Strike planes. Your choice, just make sure you fly the same plane throughout frame. A mix of Kates and Vals at your discretion. 4th FG and 23rd will be close escort and Lf6 will vector to target immediately upon discovery.

Scouting - It is imperative we find the USN before they find us. We have one setup advantage with our land base proximity to the USN start box VS. the US land base's proximity to our start box.

One volunteer from Lf6, 4th, 23rd and RCAF/8th as scouts will be assigned one of 4 scout search headings.

Scout 1 - 100* searching the northern sector of the US Start Box.
Scout 2 - 115* searching the middle north sector of the US Start Box
Scout 3 - 130* searching the middle south sector of the US Start Box
Scout 4 - 075* from F18 - searching the middle of the US Start Box

Nicely laid out plan and the graphic is worth the time you put into it!

Nice graphics Sakai. Orders distributed to the 4th FG.

I would say the B5N2 "Kate" is the best strike plane. The "Val" can shoot forwards but I'm not sure it will stand much of a chance if caught by enemy fighter squadrons. The "Kate" has better climb rate, can get higher, got better all around vision and can carry a torpedo, which the "Val" cannot.

The "Val" might be nice for scouting since it can defend itself if caught by a single F4F, however the "Kate" has better vision which makes it easier to spot enemy CV's.

Speed at 5000 ft:
Kate: 227 mph
Val: 227 mph

Climb at 8000 ft:
Kate: 1733 ft/min
Val: 1154 ft/min

Vision:
Kate has much better all around vision.

Loadout:
Kate can carry a torpedo, and also has bombardier view.

Guns:
The "Val has forward firing 7.7 mm's.

G4M1 can launch from the land base to scout as well. Its 20mm has proved effective in protecting the tail.
