Ok guys,

Lets start talking about frame 2. We are already in the hole with them closing our 262 bases.

What do you think we should do and hit and with what assets?

I like LFT16's idea of sending 4 109s scouting bomber direction so we can better aim our strippers and shooters. LFT6 is going with G6s and K4s scrapping the 190s all together. Aim us at the bombers & escorts!

We lost at least two and maybe three of our 262 bases in this single frame. I suspect that the Allies will vulch the remaining base(s) rather than closing them in the next 3 frames because dead 262s are worth 4 points (compare that to 5 points for us if we shoot down a B24 or 15 points for the Allies if they close another LAF). The alternative would be to allocate a large part of our fighter force to capping the 262 airfield(s), our aircraft just aren't a good matchup in low and slow turnfights and the field ack is useless. My suggestion would be that we abandon the 262s temporarily, assign those pilots to other aircraft and avoid digging the score hole deeper in Frame 2. Let them spend assets for at least one frame capping empty 262 fields while we beef up our bomber interception force and chip away at targets with NOE jabos.

Hawk,
Just wanted to make sure you saw this tidbit from trigr. I think the allies will push hard to catch the jets trying to takeoff or land. It might make sense to spread the field a bit.

The key to winning this series is the ability of the Knights to strike the enemies ground targets. To do this you will need to be sneaky and use small 2-4 man groups. Multiple attacks throughout the night will force the enemy to keep more a/c at home and not send them all on escort like they did later in Frame 1. If manpower is an issue then maybe some fighter groups could dedicated a few fighters to try and sneak in to sink shipping or interdict C47s. Forcing the enemy to keep a good size squad near Antwerp means they are out of the fight for the bombers making it easier for the remaining LW to get in and hit the bombers hard.

The TAC field targets and attached bridges should only be hit by fast Me262s coming in from different directions at different times. Easy to practice offline the fast approach bomb drop and run. Those airfields only have a couple hangars to down for closure and the bridges can be hit again and again.
L19, and M24 should be hit by sneaky Ju88s, 4-6 should be able to close them.
L26 and the Port could be targets for Me262s but maybe later in the series would be good ones for fast low 190F8s.
190F8s would be good ones to send in to sink shipping in the channel or C47s crossing back and forth in that area. With radar at C29 you should be able to see high CAP in the M23-C28 area and time the strikes right.

The fields for the enemy to attack will get deeper into Germany so the ability to get to the bombers will get better as the series goes along but its very important that the are always being harassed at home otherwise they will say forget it and send all their fighters to sweep or escort deep into Germany. Continuous multiple ground strikes will make them think hard about always leaving one large squad at home. They dont have to be big ones but ones that carry on thoughout the night.

Frame 1 had some wonky AI so it shoudl be easier to find the C47s and shipping and the AI flak concentrations should work this time.
