Operation Spread Eagle

Buff groups:
Airframe: Ju88’s 500kgs x 4, fuel at your descretion
Home fields:
DR group 1- F7 (3 step field) Radar pentration inbound to target at F118 area
DR group 2- F28 (2 step field) Radar pentration inbound to target at 10,5x
Lf6-Tk - F44 (3 steps, so all Lf6 can base here) Radar pentration inbound to target at 5,5x
NS/UMM - F157 (3 step field) Radar pentration inbound to target at 5,2x
All groups to target shipping at Port 227.
Group designated target areas noted on graphic below for Port 227. You may also drop on targets of opportunity in your line of flight at the port.

T = +30 or sooner you need to be at alt. and not more than one sector away from radar penetration at map area noted above. Once you are one sector out, let me know. The course you take to get there is up to you. Stay off radar until your group is ordered to head to target. DR group 1 will be first to head in. Others will be called to head in every few minutes or so as the situation warrants.
After the drop all will head up the 8 line, nose down to get speed.

Small boats and freighters should be a priority as they go down the easiest, but drop on any ship you can.
A tight bomber box is life. Inform your escort of your target run-in altitude. Please report your location every so often.
I suspect there will not be enough time to send any bombers to hit the shipping SW of Malta.

All fighters - Bf109 F4 - 100 fuel with drop tank
352nd F124 (3 step field) - Escort DR group 1 as you see fit.
4th - F136 (3 step field) - Escort DR group 2 as you see fit.
Lf6-JG51 - F 44 (3 step field, so all Lf6 can base here) - Escort TK as you see fit.
23rd - F217 (2 step field) - Escort UMM/NS as you see fit.

Do not go on enemy dar until your bomber group is about to go on dar. Exception is the 352nd may send some ahead if they so desire.
As all of our bombers converge on Malta there could be mass confusion as to who is enemy and friendly, stay awake and smart…and with your bombers if possible. If your bomb group seems clear outbound at some point feel free to send some of your fighters back to help other groups in the stream headed home, if you so desire.
Will post another graphic tomorrow after work.
Good Luck !!
Hope I don’t have any typo’s, been a long night!

**Gums: minimum number of targets at 220 that should be still up and needing destroyed according to the S6 stats:
Huts 1 and 4 located on South end of 220
2 x 75mm AT, one North and one south very near 220.
Thought I saw two trucks East, but s6 says destroyed.

Horrido!

Gums has got pics of the area tgts using the proposed run-in course and will post later. Less clutter, too.

Gums also building a DTF file to show route and such for the NS/UMM/Nomad grope. I have not done this much last yeqr and a half due to life duties, but this one will be pretty basic and only take 45 minutes or so to do.

Gums found another tgt that seems to require destruction - it's way over to the north of the north AT 75mm, so that will require one buff that can drop rest on the port tgts/boats. Exact name to follow. Split found a tgt east of main area and sure enuf, another 40mm mobile gun and the ".show" file said it had to go. Honestly, this is getting more difficult than it should.

Check back on new thread for the west buff strike details.

This should be "close" to Mr. Split's concept. Nice job, Sir!

Plan looks good, Split.

And a big ~S~ to Wolf for the map. Well done, Sir.

So, Split - What, SPECIFICALLY, do you want Lf6 to blow up?

It really is a site seeing this "Fighter Puke"™ drop ord from 23kft. I actually did hit some shit and the explosion was rewarding!

Yes, thanks Wolf!

Look at the first graphic, your target area of ships is outlined in the Southern 227 Port area-> Labeled: TK Target area. Guess I should have used Lf6, sorry.
Drop on all the ships you can in your assigned area. There are 88's along the coast after your drop that may be lined up with your run, for any unused ordnance.

Here! Here! I wish I knew how to turn it into the .dds file for gameplay; I would like to have those marks on my in-game map.

Horrido tmoa!

Use a "dtf" file and the marks will be there unless Jabo uses some kinda "map script" that erases all the user "dtf" maps like he did last series.

A PITA, but just reload the "dtf" when Jabpo erases your original one.

I can try to do a radar radius dtf along with the buff route, but one must be cautious using the "mapclear" line in your file.

Lemme try.

OK, here's an alternate SOM3 dtf called "som3a". Radar from Malta is in red.
