Channel: Frame 5 Fall GELB

All fighter groups on this channel. There is a 25 player limit on the channel. I doubt we will get anywhere near the limit this frame. Bomber group leadership is welcome on the channel but it is not entirely necessary.

Basic premise of this frame is blow shit up and get out to rearm. Our fighters are equipped with the latest NerfBlaster

Image

so resistance is futile. I am not saying dont engage the enemy. We will pressure them hard when we see them but we will get our bombs away, protect the strike aircraft until they get bombs away and then get out to strike again.

All fighter groups based L53 Dusseldorf.
Sortie 1: All will roll with Bomb(s) in ride of choice at T+0 to strike all targets connected to T49 XANTEN. Fighter groups will operate at ALL times as ONE UNIT for the duration of the frame. After release of ordnance, establish left orbit until bombers strike then egress as directed.

All bombers will be based at L54 Ostheim
Sortie 1: Climb directly north at T+0 to the bridge north of Essen C59 then turn west to strike targets associated with T49 XANTEN then egress EAST as directed.

ANY DIVERSION FROM THIS DESCRIBED FLIGHT PLAN WILL RESULT IN BOMBERS BEING DECLARED YOYO. YOYO means You are ON YOUR OWN. Fly the flight plan and get into the target ASAP and back out ASAP.

Sortie 1 Egress Instructions

Fighters will egress to L53 or L54 if enemy presence is weak when bombers strike. If main enemy presence is in T49 area egress will be to L71 Gutersloh or L72 Hersford as necessary.

Bombers will egress to L72 Hersford.

Sortie 2: If enemy main force is T49, then Sortie 2 target WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS THE SITUATION DICTATES. If enemy is not present in strength at T49, T49 remains the target followed by T38.T34,T36.

All subsequent strikes will be flown with fighters going in heavy as fast as possible with bombers coming right behind them as fast as possible. Direct to the target, in and out. No grabassing eastbound inquiring where the fighters are. The fighters are going to the target.

If we do this right we can all die early and call it a night. If you live through the frame, you didn't try hard enough.

Aggressive Blitz Krieg on the target area. No cat and mouse.

Frame Map tomorrow.

Horrido!

I like the Dawg's concept of ops, being a mudbeater and all that.

Could not fly last week due to nagging grand daughters just arriving, but that F44 field had about 7 major tgts that had all the "points". All the rest was collateral damage and had little overall effect. Therefore........

Kids leaving early Sat, so Gums shall examine the listed tgts and publish a picture of the high-value stuff. Can also provide a rough enroute time for the JU-88's from 54 first sortie.

Finally, one tgt type that is not high-value, but really helps to take out is 88 ack. The other guns are decent below 8K, but dat's a lot betta than doze 88's with their radar-directed, computer accuracy.

Don't forget at 44 that all RAdars are attached to it.

Horrido!

First of all, no big points for "taking" a field. Second, Jugs is correct about F44, and the dar's are spread out all over. Therefore....

I used CMEYE and the S3 status for quick recce. Damage looked about right, I guess JABO has to turn off the arena before rebuild time to let Phenix get the BDA.

Big points are bridge spans, hangars and DARs - 1 pt. The barracks are 0.75 pts, and there are many, but they are hard like the bridge spans.

- 38 was leveled except for the DAR EM, which really is the highest points there.

- F49 was likewise leveled except for two hangars at the field and a barracks ( brks) at SW spawn pt.

I do not like hitting 44 due to points and distance and possibility of being trapped. The JU-88's are worth more than small boats and twice the points of everything else except bridge spans.

F49 for first run has one good thing - only tgts left now are the 2 x hgrs at field and the SW spawn has a brks. Then head west and drop on 36 hangar, the bridge and then DAR at 36.

I then grabbed a JU and dropped some spans using salvo 2 and delay 60, with wingies in trail. The brks are also very hard and take a slavo, as well. The DAR's went with wingies in wedge, singles, as did the hangars.

Lastly, F45 is a great second sortie due to 9 brks there, with 38 DAR still there for the taking.

So recommend we stay south.

I will consider the above comments and revise second sortie orders as necessary sometime tonight

Just to be clear, I read the above from Gums and think that he is assuming damaged items stay damaged between frames.. THIS IS NOT SO... all targets destroyed will reopen the next frame unless the field is closed. (that is my understanding) This is what happened to the radar emitters we hit in frame 3...they were all up again in frame 4.

if I miss-understand you Gums I apologize.

Horrido!

My problem, Cool. Getting confused about stuff staying down and foelds staying either closed or captured and..............

49 still has some hi-value stuff like brks, DAR and the hangars.

I flew online this afternoon in the arena, as it was enabled and I was only one there. Blew up a bridge by 36 using salvo 2, delay 100, trail formation. Guess I softened it up and the delay allowed wingies to get in for the kill. Same form worked for the brks and hangars, btw.

I'll work iup some pics Sat during the rainstorms and notionl DTF files that stay up from 5 to 15 seconds depending upon JABO's doofer that blinks the fields and erases player maplines.

Herr Gums dines with grandkids now.....

Orders revised to Second Sortie target TBA if enemy presence is heavy over 49 (See original post)

Map is delayed because no one is really sure what the front line is.

I will publish a map but I dont know if it will be minutes or hours before frame start.

Corrected the map. Expect the FEBA to be in the 49 area. Good news is the Allies have to come into German territory this time and you can concentrate your forces at L53 and L54 in the centre. Expect a lot of friendly 88mm in the Cauldron around 48 and 51
