Horrido!
TNX for nice words, Sakai. We slow movers try hard to please, and most of the time we do.
We have not had so-called close escort yet, but I can feel it coming for the Dunkirk scenario. In fact, for that we can garner many ship points if we do it well. ++++++++ So senior moments were evident last night.
1) When Gums requested first takeoff for furthest tgt, it was the far west DAR for F44, not that other doofer. I should have been more clear. But wait! There's more.
2) The login for buffs was not what we saw last few frames and the dfuse had to be entered using a dot cmd on the buffer and not a scroll down thingie. Naturally, having already screwed up, forgot to set the dfuse. Occurred to me after about 15 minutes but decided to press on and go manual - "feel the force, Gums!"
3) With no dfuse ya gotta drop higher for survival and steeper for accuracy. First pass looked good and small stuff around the DAR went down ( likely MG), but antenna still up. Swinging around I spot an apparition appearing from the east - Darryl!! Second pass looked great but antenna still up. Darryl finished it off and we headed for the next one down the coast to the east. Same results and we set sail for F69 and another sortie.
Due to personal problems was late for second sortie and came home once 58 declared ours. And couldn't make final push.
Not a bad night. Not a "great" night, but a "good" night.
Herr Gums sends...
"God in your guts, good men at your back, wings that stay on - and Tally Ho!"

I'm with ya dobs on the night and guns. For my guns to do any good I had to push closer than d2 and was expecting to collide. Luckily that didn't happen somehow.
