Open to the floor. Last night was my first frame this series...I am still learning about FEMA...err FEBA. To be honest, I kept my nose out of the buffer most of the frame and missed the rants and criticisms to the scripting and strategy. I would like to hear from you all on what worked, what did not and of course preferences for Frame 3. Arigato! |

Never sat in the big CO chair, (and most likely never will), but I think I would big wing all of our fighters to engage radar contacts, and let our bombers strike targets well away from feba or other known areas of conflict. There should be targets available everywhere. Have the bombers roll at t+0 and head east to climb and stay well outside enemy radar. Once our fighters draw the full allied attention, release the bombers to hit targets far away from our action. Just my 2 c3nts from the peanut gallery. |

LF6 has 109s for the rest of the series. 475th got reinforced with upgraded 109E4 and they have them for the rest of the series. The DRs/Nomads used both steps of He111s so they have Ju87,Do17& Ju88s left for the series 1 frame each. The NS have 109E1,Ju87&Ju88 left 1 frame of each. 23rd has 1 frame of 110s left and rest 109s. I am thinking now we have to hit their fighters draw them to an area and kill as many as possible. Let the buffs get to alt and hope we either scattered the fighters low or drew them away from intended target. The one problem from both frames is 40 mile grids and when they are 120 miles away, we are engaged in the FEBA the Allied bombers are somewhere we aren't and hard to cover and and destroy their buffs. Maybe look at industrial targets? Good luck <{S}> |

Just throwing this out there... are there any targets we can hit and be SURE it's down? possibly sending in the JU-52 before it goes down... have the bombers form with the JU52s and get in front of them... perhaps some heavy fighters assigned to clean up after... Seems like a lot of things could go wrong, but perhaps it will spur some debate. |

Horrido! Not a lotta "industry" to hit, Juggo. Guess those follks are mainly growing tulips, making jewelry, fermenting grapes and dining at neat cafes. I can't find the point chart for Axis, but bridges, DAR, et al should be same. Enema acft prolly same as our 109 pts. Ditto for armor. Darryl and Dobs have both suggested the buffs hit where "they ain't". The bridges are especially tuff, and not a lot of them to be had. So armor and some structures are points, and we do not have to "close/capture" every steenkeeng feeeeld except to move the FEBA. That's a welcome change from many series. I shall recce the fields and circle the barracks, dar and com structures that give us the most points. I am thinking south. The disappearing map DTF's are being cleared by a CM "mapclear" command that highlights fields, so the two down south and one up north blink. If players use the "mapclear" cmd, they stop blinking for a few seconds, then start up. It must be a timed DTF, and the Dot Cmd cheat sheet I have didn't have the correct syntax or whatever. Otherwise we could load one that repeated every 10 seconds or so. Herr Gums sends... |

if we bomb and close something it is "contested" then the JU's go in and take it over ... or am I not understanding. Last frame they closed 2 fields and took them over... don't think with ground vehicles. |

Yep, they didn't have assets around their deep strike fields so they had to have taken it by Troopers ( ya know cuz France and UK developed the technique they learned from the Germans at this time period). I bleeding hate mobbing around in a massive gaggle because it's tactically inefficient. They know where everyone is and can act accordingly, like fly around everyone... Where they get us time and again is dragging a group into a protracted fight until help arrives off scene, yet closer than you think. 352 does this on a microcosm and it's the way good fighter partnerships work. Simply put: don't chase the rabbit. On the same token, that is precisely their disadvantage. Us fighter guys as a whole are a bunch of rabbit chasers. It's predictable and makes it easier for even small numbers to fight Goliath. We need to work together and employ wolf tactics. Works as a defensive posture and works on the offensive, provided we do a good job muddying the dar picture. One thing of note is the delayed bomber grab worked to our advantage as their presumed defensive force (4th) was on runway when we showed up over 38. Either they waited or we caught them on refuel. Also agree showing our hand in a different op area seemed to have worked getting enemy assets away from the buffs on the first run. Doing this but then committing to defense might prove fruitful in ending allied gains. The risk is leaving buffs naked but might work if the Do or 88 can outrun their early fighters. |

Horrido! TNX for complement Zin. 4th knows and most lite gropes know that we buffers are patient and it is also realistic to take 30 or 40 minutes to grab. I feel that the short DAR range came into play. 20 miles, if I can decode the rules. That ain't a lot if the buffs are coming in at 3 miles per minute or faster. I am not sure about the "capture the flag" aspect of those JU-52 kites. My preference as a buff puke is to bomb things, blow up stuff, accumulate the "structure destroyed" points and cause mayhem. Maybe even live, heh heh If Allied gardeners and jewelry makers wanna send in armor to some lonely Axis field, then good tgts for our jabo planes, and remember that the buffers have to fly one frame with Stukas ( good gun). The Allies are getting more points killing armor and buffs than anything else. Haven't examined Hawk's BDA, but the Knights may be blowing a lot of our stuff to get points. Herr Gums musing... |

Time to make up some loss on the points. I say we sit back off their DAR pop in and out to mess with them, while we wait to see where their bombers are going to hit and (while all fighters squadrons are north, central and south) and figure out what we should have our buffs hit. |
