I can get us started but will have to leave halfway through for work.

What we do depends on AO. If they do anything like last frame I think pure defensive will work for us. We can handle the Avengers and fighters if we head fake another CV attack. That said CV kill score well for us. Army ops will give us some early offense time on the CV groups if they choose to use B29s that will have a long way to go, not to mention it will tie up their fighter escorts.

if the allies go with B-24's or B-29's with escorts .. do the enemy fighter have the fuel to escort with out fuel tanks ? personally i was thinking of sending out a few scouts to try and find buff formation long before they are into our Dar range this may enable us to mass an attack.. if they haft to carry Tanks maybe scouts can make some of them drop there tanks?

I guess it depends if they get air starts, I hope not. P-51 has about 2hours internal, P-47 has 2hours 12min @ 100% cruise. Regardless they also have F-4Us that can pick up escort duty and are much closer. Scouts would help with altitude confirmation though.

Fighters dont get airstarts. They have no problem. Bombers may or not have a problem. Generally they do not like airstarts so if the bomber FM is up to their standards they will go without them I am sure.

I foresee the biggest issue with Bombers from Iwo Jima as the off runway spawn points. I doubt the AI will be able to negotiate the taxi to the runway. I have tested the new B-29 FM at Iwo and it has no problem taking off if you use a notch of flaps even at 100% fuel.

Just tested it in S3 using bomber GV login. SP6 at F188 no problems with AI.
