Any ideas are welcome

changes bolded and underlined

LF6 - Field 172 - Plane of Choice - mission is to protect our shipping within the red circle

475th plus Sentai 127 Wing - Field 115 - Plane of choice - mission is buff busting

Knights of Ni - Field 167 - plane of choice - NOE attack on US Convoy

AE + 8th - Field 167- plane of choice - search for incoming US aircraft near the carrier zone, be prepared to escort the Knights on their return from their attack mission.

Kamikaze will form at Field 172 - Take off will be at T+115 to finish attacks by T+160. ;)

If the Kami's use spawn 2 they take off directly over the water and can be NOE immediately. You must take 75% fuel in the G4M1. Take 1 800 KG bomb. Flying straight and level you can make 240 mph while NOE. In 45 minutes, you can go from F172 to the bottom of the carrier oval. When you attempt to Kami, open your bay doors and drop your bomb just before you hit, your aircraft does no damage, so your bomb will simulate a plane packed with explosives crashing then exploding on the ship Deck. Ack will be fierce so the lead aircraft might want to Kami on a destroyer to clear a path for the rest.

Horrido :)

Beaver,

Does it mater what plane we take with torps? Seeing how we are going NOE, I am thinking maybe the JU88 with torps is good. It's fast and can get in an out rather stealthy.

Since the expectation is the enemy bombers will be low the 475FG will be in N1K1's for frame 1. We want to save our Ki84's and J2M's for high altitude B-29 killing.

There are no restrictions on aircraft flown. You could fly the J2m's every frame. If you are a confirmed kill in a J2m3, you can't fly that in the next frame, but you could fly the J2m2.

I will tell our guys to brush up on the N1K1.

You can take any plane in the set. The only provision in this series is this:

"If you are a confirmed kill you cannot fly the same aircraft the next frame." Different models are considered different planes, if got killed in a J2M3, you could fly the J2m2 the next frame.

Yes but I don't like my guys in mixed aircraft in S3 AND the N1K1 is the best low level bird we have. Of course the Allies could be sneaky and do another Naval Ops Area raid next frame.

Ki 84 is pretty good down low as well. The J2M is poorest choice down low but is actually faster than the Allied rides in the high thirties altitudes.

Also the Type 99 Mark 2 cannon is the best IJ weapon that carries a big punch out to almost the same range as the 50cal.

We'll take the Ju-88 and head south NOE in hopes to sighting the CV. We are allow to stay West of the 4 line, correct?

You can fly or base anywhere Hawk but since the Allies have declared naval operations area you can only attack ships in that location.

There is an Allied CV group running in the s3 arena now if you want to take a bomber and try and attack it.

Couple of thoughts about our shipping, either we are going to be swatting fighters off strafing run or the Doodles will probably use the TBF. If they make ships a priority. Points summary isn't up so dunno which way the points will lean, ships vs land targets. Doodles will go for the easiest and most points in one sortie available so they could very well skip shipping and use the B29s to flatten half of Japan. God knows all the allied squads are clamoring to fly their precious ponies.

In any case LF 6 is leaning toward low level ops to protect shipping. I was just chewing on useful force allocation with this sudden time off I'm getting.
