Pilots available were Houndg & Coolon
Orders were to attack shipping where found.

With Hawk estimating their time over target as T+45 we were able to wait 5 minutes or so and roll our Ju87s and take the long wavetop flight south. We were aiming for being at the south end of the approximate target area as far from the bombers target as possible.

Stalkers were able to swing around and search south finding a convoy of 5 ships right about the time as the bombers were approaching their target. Our efforts were inconclusive as we seemed to damage some ships but not get killing hits. Frustrated with ourselves we went back down to the wave tops and returned to base.

CO ordered us back to finish our job so we made another flight south, this time starting at the north end of our target area to try and find the same ships we had hit previously. We were able to find a convoy. Houndg stayed to attack these targets while I tried further south to find the damaged ships and finish them off.

Houndg made excellent drops and killed a ship with each of his 3 bombs. I eventually found a convergence of convoys heading in opposite directions, there were about 8 targets in the area. I was able to get my wingmen to attack freighters and I believe they did sink a transport that was not noted in the log. I was not as precise as Houndg but did get one transport to go down.

We both returned to base, Houndg arriving first so he was able to re-up and head to 145 where a few more targets were required to close. I had a much longer flight. Houndg was able to close 145 but was jumped by a hurricane that he was able to shoot down but lost his airframe as well. Upon being shot down Houndg was transferred to a wingman but all his wingmen were sitting on the ground and he was unable to take off again so he had to exit with a "capture"

I was able to make it to 87 and join in on the last minute attack. We were able to close 87 but it was only a few seconds after the Stop attack message came across... SO CLOSE... but was a valiant effort.

Not sure of the totals but I believe this is as follows:
4 possibly 5 freighters sunk
2 assists of base closures.
1 kill (for Houndg)

1 pilot shot down/captured

Again, a very effective team effort for the Axis side. Everyone involved seems to work well together.
Big Salute to Hawk for being the CO and again a big Salute to the entire Axis team of squads.

well done.
