HELP WITH BDA Download and unzip into where you put DTF files for your game, I know on a PC it is the main directory. For you MAC users someone needs to chime in. If you need to know what is keeping a field open at a particular field just run the DTF for the field in question and it will tell you what's left. You must have these files in your computer for you to use them. Attachment:

Ciao! Dunno how the dtf files will work, but the iea of keeping F110 open is super. I was shot down there when the DR's were attacking, and they didn't make it. Oh yeah, the Mac pukes ( like me) habe to put the DTF stuff in the "resources" folder. I think Madcat is the expert here. Gums sends... |

Yes. For Mac users: Control-Click on the Warbirds application and put the .dtf files in the Resources folder. For all: to use the .dtf files for fields 117, 138, 139, 140, 141, and 142 you will open the radio buffer window and type .dotfile followed by the file associated with the field you want a BDA for. EXAMPLE: .dotfile F117bda This would give you a listing of the remaining ground objects at Field 117. I wrote these with the script writer provided by Noflyz. <S> Nick |

EXAMPLE: .dotfile F117bda Thanks, much, for the primer. I was going to ask if there was a sizable "read me" that went with the file before downloading it. FWIW NoFlyZ is really good at this stuff. For those who have been doing this for at least 20 minutes, it is my observation that there is a "work around" for almost everything which makes me wonder why resources available in the GAME are ever turned off. Pretty soon someone will be able to write a .dtf that will turn the colored dots back on. However, what we really need is a "script" that will deliver enough players to do this stuff with all HUMAN crews. |

Just to remind the buff users. DTF files do not work in the CA arena.. It flashes then goes away on my system. Our route is as follows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnrmpng1ku3sykd/PP3.dtf?dl=0 <S> |

F110 cant be used as a super base. Defeats the whole purpose of step basing. Since the MC200s can carry drop tanks and the other bombers have good range I dont see the need for it anyway. F110 can base 4 of your 9 steps. It dont think it unreasonable for the the remaining 5 to base elsewhere especially since the RAF took great pains to close the other two airfields in the south area. |

Uncle Hawk, I would advise you to enter the S3 arena sometime before Sunday's event and give the little .dtf files a try. These do not draw pretty lines on the map but rather bring up a list of ground target numbers in the buffer. I tried it today and it appears to function correctly in the CA arena. To see how the script operates: enter Greece arena offline, use one of the .dtf files to give you the status of the targets at one of the aforementioned fields, then enter ".destroyall n" (where n=field number), and then use the .dtf again for the same field. The numbers should now all read zero (0). <S> Nick |
