Ciao!
Wolfman quoted me from an old war story, and he deserves to have the rest of us know about it.
So in a galaxy far away I was an IP in the A-37 Dragonfly and helping the Vee learn to employ the sucker. So one day we had a flight wherein lead was an American and was on a check ride. Two Vee students were in the flight, plus the check pilot.
Lead puts on a real dog and pony show briefing with color pens/chalk, flip charts and everything except Power Point, which wasn't invented for another 30 years nor had personal computers. It was the biggest buncha hooie any of us there had seen.
On the way out to the ramp one of the Vee turns to the other and asks, " what he say?".
Other Vee replies, " we go fly now!"
Still laugh about that one.
Gums recalls....
P.S. For more Dragonfly stories, go to :
http://a-37.org/ and buy a book about that great little jet. We are working on a Kindle version or maybe excerpts but there are legal implications.
