FRAME I ORDERS

    4th - F52 plane of choice
    8th - F54 plane of choice
    23rd - F25 plane of choice
AE - F62 plane of choice
    LF6 - F16 plane of choice.

We are going to play defense this frame. One thing we know for sure is the front will move forward regardless of the outcome. So my plan is to protect and save some of the forward fields and try to keep them open if attacked, so we can have them in frame 2. Fields 25 and 42 are not in either radar coverage so I think this will be their primary fields. Field 62 is also a viable option for them but we have radar in that area.

I would like the 23rd and LF-6 to mass together and fly in the vicinity of the 4.8 to 4.9 to 5.9. Patrol the area and send out some scouts south if needed to get a good look.

The other 3 fighter squads please hook up and stay off the enemy radar. Please patrol north of F62 around the 3.8 X. Send a scout or two south but stay off enemy radar.

The P38G with tanks can stay up for 185 minutes so let try to preserve our fuel and get on top of the enemy and fly smart. We do outnumber them in fighters so let's not get into a fight where they have an advantage.

Please post any thoughts you may have below.

Good Luck

No Rabaul Raid was called so you can assume all Allied operations are west of the operational line.

Remember with a 0.75 fuel mod you may want to take wing tanks if you are going to climb and hold position.

Japanese can afford to play cat and mouse with the Allies as they will score much higher points for enemy a/c than the Allies. Allies will focus on BDA but due to the scarcity of AAA in this terrain it will be more accurate than in previous events so hopefully for the Japanese you will have some smokers to dispatch.

Conflicting reports on the new P38G and K61. I would try and put as much time into the ride you want to use with the new FMs in Operation Lost or AFMA.

New FM update for P38G and Ki61 so hold off until you have that forced update in the S3 or AFMA arena before testing.

Very important rule of this seasons S3 is the first one.

Quote:
1. Arena Entry - to access the S3 Arena online please type .privatearena s3 in the radio bar at the splash screen. When you go online you will see two logins. The regular one is for fighter pilots and the other is for bomber pilots. Bomber pilots are those flying any eligible bomber aircraft that can take AI drones. To return to the regular online arenas just type .privatearena

If you want to play .... You must all know this rule.. :D

<S> Drdart and a big thanks for taking the CO chair first frame of the season.

My 4 cents is that we do not have to attack the Allies the minute they come bombing. This is the point when they have all the fighter cover they could ask for, and would indeed be a new record in "shortest S3 frame" if we walk right into a full swarm of P-38G's who will dive down on us (Service ceiling 38 000 ft) as soon as we attack the buffs.

I think it's better we hang back for a bit, find isolated enemy groups or stragglers and go for them, weakening the enemy before their 2nd sortie. We can also send a few guys to try to lure them into a trap, altough this would probably require more planning. If the enemy are to tight, then maybe we have to wait for their next sortie when they might be more relaxed, overconfident and sloppy.

Cheers!

agreed Robert....AE's and the 8th will be flying with the 4th ..want to pick a tac. or just stay on country chanel ? id like to work in unison .. and possibaly set up a ambush or 2.. the 352nd is they will chase blindly to no ends... enemy aircraft to score a kill .. this is a repeated doctrine of theirs.. we could use this against them
