Fellow Axis Dudes: It is always the most interesting when the logs unload and Phenix is able to post his S6 for the Frame... Nonetheless it seemed like fighter guys got to be fighter guys. The Knights on strike in the SE kept filling the buffer with destroyed targets, and then destroyed targets, and then destroyed targets. It would be my preliminary evaluation that our fighters gave at least as good as they got. The bad guys did get some shipping points, and a few villes along the way during the Frame. I still suspect that our strikers were a push or better with the bad guy strike force. All that said...It was interesting to observe particularly the two buff incursions during the Frame. Due to excellent communications, even down to the wing pairs in a couple of cases, we were able to identify individual elements and attempt to vector them to an interesting situation. And in most all of the cases, IT WORKED. Our larger and wing elements would vector to assist each other. TNX to the variouis elements of LF6 and to the 352nd guys. In a game, nobody could ask for any more than that! It was a pleasure throughout the Series to observe how the Axis Dudes go about Frame planning. Everybody provides input about "critical" stuff as the week progresses. I've always thought that in the end that type of approach was valuable. With all the hard work put in by the prior COs this Series, it is comforting to suspect that that the "Axis Side" retained what was characterized as an "Insurmountable Lead". It was fun to grab the last Frame of the Season. Enjoy your summer hiatus, and we'll all meet here again sometime after Labor Day. <S> |

Wolf, thanks for the orders and frame command. Enjoyed coordinating with the LF6 during the large engagements. Fun stuff... Kudos to the allies for their discipline and tight formations the last two frames. Not sure how they kept their fighters above ours most of the frame. We still had plenty nail biting action. Do miss the larger bomber formations. Wish we could entice more to fly the S3. Also many thanks to Jabo and Phenix for all the hard work making on new maps, scenarios, and janitoring. You guys are great... See you all next season. <S> Oskar |

Well called Wolf, we did give as good as we got! The guy I tip my hat to is Zinhwk. He's the guy who called the shots on a very huge new map when we were the most spread out. That's where the insurmountable lead came from, early on. He is an excellent frame CO, he reminds me of our best S3 callers from back in the day. Great job Zin building up the lead sir! <S> Once the massive points lead was established, and it was obvious the enemy would only engage under their "big wing" scenario, we were almost forced to finish the series countering the big fighter wing with one of our own, while the Knights continued to run wild basically unopposed. All in all, a rare major victory, on a new map, with exceptional coordination between our groups. Thanks Jabo (and Roan?) for another great season of interesting Sunday evenings! Fun times t |

Excellent frame Dewolf! We hit the SE over and over again. The biggest challenge was to see who was going to win the bet when WldBill was going to auger in. Well no one won and he did a great job for us. The other challenge was finding the and destroying all the bridges and that damn ack tower stood up to our 500kg bombs. Other then that, it was a perfect night with no losses. I tried to vector our Knight fighters to some of the action, but the Allies didn't have the stomach to engage them. A valiant chase ensued but all they did was run away. Well done brother! |
