Well, If I was in the big chair for frame 3, this would be my Plan:
I would identify the ground targets I wanted taken out as well as the shipping.
Next, I would send in a torpedo Sq. along with a bomber Sq..
The forward strike package would RV at X point, outside the donkie DAR. . At that point they would go into a continuous circle pattern.

All fighters would hold until a set launch time.

Launch time for fighters would be; the point at which when they would be able to RV with forward package. Any heavy fighters having to launch heavy will go 1st.

Once fighters are within support range the forward package could go in.

The forward Gp, after release would go back to ship and wait for a call from the CO as to when to relaunch.

Granted, I've only COed 1 or 2 frames, even though I don't think I received credit --but in fairness it was only with a great deal of support.

Just thought I would chime in!

BTW, hope everyone has a great Easter Sunday!

Pls not to many

Last time we had too many people hitting the same targets, we need to make sure everyone knows their targets and hits their own at the same time.
Getting in first licks prior to their roll is a huge thing.

Banzai!

Also have to take out F2 so it's gone for last frame and U.S. can't use it to get our brave warriors going back to the carriers.

Ya think?

Here are some ideas we talked about during the break . I think it's worth chatting about. I will be out of town Monday and Tuesday with the wife.

What do you all think?

Hawk

Was thinking about next frame (I know 2 weeks away) but thought I would throw out some ideas.
Since Frame 4 everything closed in Frame 3 will be down, how about setting a strike time (say T+45) and hit almost everything!
KoN hit the boats
UMM hit F5
NS/RCAF hit F2
AE hit F7
352nd hit F23
4th hit F21
(the fighters only need to send 2 guy to close the DAR) maybe get a volunteer to close 30 (it's not very important but still 8 easy points).

After, the AE could hook up with the UMM/NS
the 4th and 352nd could cover the KoN
As we all get out of dodge back to the CV.

2nd sortie, what ever you think.

Would be cool to have all DAR down for both frames!

The key would be to have everyone in place to drop at the same time.

I like it! However what is the ruling with dedicated fighter squads being used as strike? I don't think they can.

Key may be making the best out of NS/RCAF and seeing if UMM can take out both 5 and 6. 6 is just the single radar emitter.

I can split NS up and take on the three radars 21,23, and 7. RCAF could fly a mix of Zeros and Kates and hit F2. We have two weeks to plan it so we can use the opportunity to really dial in a good timetable and position all a/c to be at a pre-drop state max available fuel state for the fighters.

Jlord, You are spot on and Mt-Dew I like yours as well. What I like about this team is that we all work well together and talk things out without flaming each other. It's a pleasure working with you all.

We have the time so let's make use of it. As you all know, I like surrounding the buffs with fighters. This is the only way to ensure them they will make it to the target.

Assign it, and we'll get it done. FWIW our CO and Squad Commanders have been discussing carrying bombs on selected fighters in Frame 3.

Something in the buffer like:
Drop coming in 2 minutes. Everyone in position? Everyone ready? DROP! Can't be such a bad idea.

IF someone happened to not be quite ready.....we can WAIT.
