I paired Waggaa and Gofly and Atrick and Chipper together. Bother were between 1 to 1.5k when they dropped their torps. Some how when Wagga's and Atrick's torps hit, Chiper and Gofly blew up giving Atrick and Waggaa the kill.

How can this happen?

We saw the same type of thing. Supposedly Dew killed one of his wingmen.

I think the torps have a huge blast radius like a big bomb.

if I had to guess, I think they were bombed on by AI bombers above us. There were bombs dropping all around us while we were dropping. I bet the system doesn't know how to score that.

Hence the comment that the blast radius is too big. The blast radius settings in the game (they are the same in all arenas) is FAR too big.

The blast radius settings are set too LARGE.

Too LARGE are the BLAST RADIUS SETTINGS.

torps not been a problem like that in the main and I believe they the same value.
Torps had to have a large radius for ships as they are so long ....and damage has to actually reach the center of the ship to count any points toward its fatal damage.
I shot literally hundred s of torps at ships in the TA. With smaller radius's you could put 10 torps into the bow, and get nothing. IN this case I'd say something else was happening, others bombs etc....cause we don't see this issue.
A rework, experimentation with the hitmaps on ships might make it able to change that.
Don't forget too, that the damage points from blast lessen considerably with their radius.
hawk, if this is happening regular like in other arenas, you may have something, but if its not, then.....it was something else.
Unless jabo can confirm that he hasn't changed the s3 values. If he has, well, then I don't know

Same damage values as MA.

Torp blast is huge you can take out buildings on land when you hit the dock. It was an issue in the Truk testing.
But also AI planes dont show up in the log. Not the damage they make on the ground or if they shoot down an enemy. Getting hit by their bombs would not show up in the log or in the buffer as well.
A huge limitation to the AI system when they shoot back or destroy things.
