Easier series to Frame CO in some respects. You dont have to worry too much about who is flying what. Fighter squads pick either 109G6 or 109G2 while the Knights have to decide to use either the Ju87D, Bf110G2 and Ju88A4for their missions. Not trying to force anyone to fly marginal a/c this series. Its important to note that their are basing restrictions depending on either if the a/c are single or twin-engined. Single-engine a/c can use all field types but the medium fields. Twin-engine a/c can use only medium and large fields. Equally important to note is that single-engine a/c can attack all target locations and AI ships and tanks. Twin-engine a/c are limited to the larger target locations and AI ships and tanks. A full listing is in the rules. You will be outnumbered by the VVS so its important to play defence and strike at less obvious targets or those within close proximity of good air cover. Fighters should be used to help out closing target locations and special care should be taken not to loose the few strike a/c early on. Scoring will reflect that the Luftwaffe have to hold the line rather than expand it. The VVS will have to be more agressive to close fields and conduct ground attacks. Need Frame COs from JG51, JG77, 352nd FG, Tainan Kokutai and The Knights. Again those players that like to Frame CO may put their names forth offering to take a squads slot. Post any questions you have and please do your offline recce of the target locations, they are almost all different in some way or other. Some are almost impossible to close and others can go down to a couple determined fighters. Thanks for being patient with all the changes at the moment. |

We didnt get zinhwk the passwords in time either There are several tactical targets that would be excellent for heavy fighters and Ju87Ds. The fortifications at 30-294-296-297 are quite easy to down as they consists of bunkers, 75mm ATs, Arty and light AAA. Landing strips like 280 have a few parked a/c, huts and fuel so again are easy to close with single-engine a/c. The tank unit at 145 is another good target close to cover. Radar sites at 242 and 250 should be relatively easy to close as well. Docks are tougher than they look with several spans of docks and warehouses so should be attacked by larger numbers or twin-engine a/c. Its important to note that all field types closed during play will remain closed for the series. So crucial airfields should be attacked in frames 1-2 for full benefits of them being closed. Key fields for the VVS are 4,32 and 190 which are medium fields and can only base twin-engine a/c. Close these and their strike assets are forced to fly Pe2s and A20s from 258. Also important to note is the indicators for attached bridges. Most bridges are 3-4 metal spans indicated by the dock OT class but there are a few with many spans of stone(rock OT class) or even pontoon(pontoon OT class). You have to take these down to close the attached field. The LW have a disadvantage in medium and large fields being farther from the action than the VVS. 180 is a crucial airfield for 110s and Ju88s. 21 is very close to the action so may not be a good place to base these a/c. 110s may be able to use it with cover from 221 or 193. If so their best targets may be the AI shipping SW of them. If you have any questions just ask. Good Luck |

OPERATION KEINE FLIEGEN Over all view: The primary objective is to deny the VVS from coming west. The primary strike target is F 32. This is a twin engine air field that needs to be taken out of action in Frame 1 to push the bombers further east. The strike package must make it to F32. All fighter squadrons will assign at least 50% of their airframes to jabo duty. All squads have a jobo target; however, keep your light fighters as high cover. Squadron CO’s: choose your squadron’s airframe for your assigned mission. Light fighters make sympathetic speed for heavy fighters. North Fighters: North Fighter Squads, your jabo targets do not need to go down first pass. Feel free to pick away at them as time permits. We need the bulk of light fighters at high altitude looking for contacts. JG51 - Field 6 Primary Jabo: F208, Secondary Port 52. Denial of Reds from East. Patrol grid 7,3 and 7,4. Divert field for damage 263 240 is above 5 bar, not a valid divert: 1 STEP ONLY 352nd FG - Fields 234 and 195, Primary Jabo: Radar 242, Secondary: Field 280. Denial of Reds from East. Patrol Grid 7,4 and 7,3. Divert field for damage 263 240 is above 5 bar, not a valid divert: 1 STEP ONLY Strikers Knights Who Say Ni - Field 8 Primary Target: Field 32, Secondary: adjacent Refinery and rail yard. Launch at T+10mins for South Fighter rendezvous timing. Rally point for strike package and cover will be at Grid 5,2,5. Divert field 221. Assign a tactical channel for fighter leads. South Fighters: South Fighters will cover the strike package into F32. South Jabo pilots will de-ack F32 for the strike package. 100th FBG - Field 194 Primary Jabo: Field 32 ack Secondary Jabo F32 structures. Escort Knights to F32. Rally point for strike package and cover will be at Grid 5,2,5. Divert Fields for damage F11 and F193. VFA 211 - Field 194 Primary Jabo: Field 32 ack Secondary Jabo F32 structures. Escort Knights to F32. Rally point for strike package and cover will be at Grid 5,2,5. Divert Fields for damage F11 and F193. Tainan Kokutai - Field 207 Primary Jabo: Field 32 ack Secondary Jabo F32 structures. Escort Knights to F32. Launch at T+10mins for South Fighter rendezvous timing. Rally point for strike package and cover will be at Grid 5,2,5. Divert Fields for damage F11 and F193. JG77 - Field 207 Primary Jabo: Field 32 ack Secondary Jabo F32 structures. Escort Knights to F32. Launch at T+10mins for South Fighter rendezvous timing. Rally point for strike package and cover will be at Grid 5,2,5. Divert Fields for damage F11 and F193. |
