The map boxes are more like guidelines. Just meant as a visual for the bigger picture. Don't think you're absolutely bound by them. It all goes out the window after the first sortie anyway. ;)

Yes indeed.

They make for handy reference on voice and text comms.

Thats why I have all the 10 degree boxes and 30 degree boxes. I find it easier to quickly tell folks "head for the Charlie Box" and then fine tune later.

I noticed last frame that after initial contact our bomber interceptors were quite scattered and I needed to be able to get them all headed to the same area so I added boxes.

I figure Whiskey or Zulu for bomber ingress and Whiskey is covered by radar.

FYI, I noticed that the end of Whisky is over England. That is verboten. (or sum such spelling) ;)
