I like it and will make the changes tomorrow.

It is tempting to launch at t+0 and get something done. We gotta have clear orders to refuel and rearm by a specific time though or we risk losing a chance at buffs on ingress. Also please consider holding back a portion of our force just off enemy radar to clear the attackers and provide them with a safety net to land, etc. Also the 109Ks cant fight for beans low and slow.

The big risk in this is if we did lose a large amount of fighters early on .. the allies will run the whole rest of frame. Remember the allies had a feint early on with large numbers of p-38s, p51s and p47s around the tac fields ... they will be waiting for us.

Timos,

I know this is a gamble to hit return and be up again to engage the bombers. This question is can you get in and out without any lose? Right now lets go with the current plan and as always, it can be changed. I am not a hardliner on my orders. We are far behind going into Frame 2 but I don't want to be stupid and give them more points needlessly.

Group 2
Checkmates and The Haze can group together.
100th FBG
RCAF 127 Wing(401/416/417) (bf109K4R6)
VFA-211
American Eagles
JG27 (bf109K4R6)
Base: LAF54
Target: TAC 51 and 43 and bridges

Hawk, TAC 51 & 43 are not targets, only the bridges near them are. Just North of those fields is TAC 42 airfield.
Also, you have too many steps at L54, you need to move a few to L53.

Here is a little data for OTD speeds:

The 109K4R6 does not carry bombs so it may not be the ideal aircraft, it’s top speed (50% fuel for all tests, 450’ alt) is 312 mph
190F8 with 1 500KG and 2 250KG is 235 loaded, 296 unloaded
109K4 with a 250KG bomb is 340 mph, unloaded is 348 mph
ADDITIONAL RESEARCH
190D9 carrying 3 x 250KG (it can also carry 1 500KG or 1 250KG) hits 300 mph loaded and 350 mph unloaded, fastest plane OTD.
For group 2, the bomber killers this frame, we can bomb with this aircraft and still field 2 20mm cannons against the bombers. The 109K4R6 has 3 20 mm's, the best guns that can realistically get to the bombers, but it can't bomb, so part of group 2 can take the R6 version and some take the 190D9 and bomb the bridges
.

51D is 336 mph
47D is 326 mph
38L is 317 mph.

So the 109K4 with a 250 KG bomb is faster than any Allied Aircraft.

JG 127 will probably take the 109K4 so we can carry bombs to take out the bridges and we will work as strippers.

Food for thought. Probably will have a slim chance in hell at actually killing fighters at high alt so if the opportunity presents itself, it might be worth having 30mm options available for buff runs, especially if 2 or 3 30mm K-4s gang up on 1 buff. At the same time, fire rate, capacity, and forced long distance engagement might make that too much of a daunting task.

The 30MM is a terrible gun, slow fire rate and low ammo. The 20 MM is the way to go.

Is everyone ok with the plans. I am really flexable here and you all know your fighters better than I do.

Thanks all!

Hawk,
Sorry for late entry but important.

AE flying 190D-9 and participating in the ground attack and fighter ops...

As you know all 190 aircraft have
A) high landing speed.
B) need more speed for takeoff especialy if loaded
C) Have bad tendency to tip over if braking hard or overrunning runway and getting into grass.

The field you have us assigned it T48. It is a very small baseball shaped :grass field. This is totaly unsuitable for 190 planes in particular loaded ones.

Could we be assigned to an alternate field.

Suggested fields would be 52 in 5,3 grid = 65 in 5,3 grid = or 82 in 7,3 grid.
(Preferance field 65) note: 82 would preclude us from ground attack due to distance fuel burn ratio.

Second question came up.

Was unable to locate bridge at 51.

Went to end of road to west and post there. I then turned north up the river to a point sw of 43 at 4,4 5 and there was a bridge.

Is this the target bridge for 51?
