What can I say about last night but WOW! We had planned a very aggressive attack on the Allies and I wasn’t even sure we could pull it off.

The plan was to send the UMMs to kill F5 and the Knights with their imbedded fighters to battle ship row. I also sent the Night Stalkers, RCAF/100th, the 4th and the 352nd on strike missions as well. Our target time was T+40 and even with some minor errors in loading the plane set, we all hit our targets at T+43. With only 1 UMM showing up, I attached Waggaa to Gums in hopes they could close F5. The rest was to hit ships.

I couldn’t be happier with the results. Soon I soon saw the following in the buffer, F23, F30, F2, F21, F5, F7, F6 and 4 ships sunk. Damn you guys are GOOD!

The Kates made their way back to the Kaga, and they others stayed around Perl to clean things up and to engage with the Allies. Soon the buffer was being filled with IJN downing USN forces. Some fighters RTB and those that were able to land on the Kaga readied for sortie 2.

While waiting the map was filled with lots of Allies approaching our battle fleet in the 2.6 grid. I told everyone to hold in the tower and called our other back to engage them. Once I felt they were close enough, I released our fighters on the GV to launch to engage them. We wouldn’t be able to launch our Kates until the threat was gone.

Time was ticking and we all watched holding our breaths. Once again the buffer was showing lots of Allies be downed by our brave IJN pilots. I know the fight was intense! Once I felt it was safe, I called for Kates to roll and start moving to our next big mission. F12, was not going to be easy. I was huge but really important to the success of the frame.

While inbound to F12, I called all the fighters to meet up with us as soon as they could. We knew the Allies would be waiting for us but to our surprise they were overwhelmed by our superior fighter force and stood down.

With time running out, we hit F12 with everything we had. I took all our Kates and fighters to close it, but close it did. We all RTB and headed home to celebrate our victory.

This mission was successful not because of my planning alone. Several of you helped me out. I special shout out goes to Muskyz for doing most the planning and to those on the forum that contributed as well.

To those DAMN good fighter jocks that protected us and closed the DARs and strafe the field even though they knew the ACK would get them. You guys are the best to work with and made my time in the big chair a pleasure.

Thank you all!

BIG SALUTE

It was a great plan that was well executed by everyone involved! You were always quick with answers that helped individual squadrons make good decisions and the buffs put on one of the best shows I've seen in many years!

To my fellow fighter squadrons - great teamwork and tenacity! <S> All!

It was a ton of fun!

Thanks for giving me the honor of leading the buff's to F12!

Does anyone have any acam of the fighters straffing F12 at the end? That must have been an awesome sight.

Thank you Weiser. it was a privilege leading you all into a victorious battle! :-)

I do have some videos but will take some time putting them together. I am looking for some music and some videos of the Kaga to add to it.

Great game plan Hawk and Muskyz
Stalling the take off a bit for the second mission played out well. Gave fighter jocks a chance to bang some heads.
Well played all around.
