S3#111 The Tunisia Campaign

FRAME 3 - orders

Gentlemen.

We have been pushed across N. Africa by the allies. Herr Hitler has commanded us to stop our retreat and take back ground we have lost.

Despite low supplies, Rommel has agreed to start an offensive campaign to push back the enemy.
Our air campaign will coordinate with Rommel’s ground attack.


Operation Zurückschlagen: (hit back)

Sortie 1: T+0

DR’s will launch from F6, proceed South to strike/close F39 and F86. (F86 is priority target) RTB immediately and inform command when you have landed.

JG-51 will launch F6 or F16 (your choice) and close F38 and F37. Use heavy fighters. Then proceed to NE of 74 to defend against an attack from 83 or 81. Land immediately at F6 once DR’s have RTB’d.

4th FG will launch heavy fighters (your discretion) from F6. Proceed South. Look for NME ground forces and or NME fighters from F86. Attack and kill the NME. Land immediately at F6 when DR’s have landed.

Ground Forces will move from S of F74 area to attack 37, 66 and 33.

DO NOT CAPTURE ANY FIELDS UNTIL ORDERED. We will do this later in the frame.

Sortie 2: Immediately following Sortie 1

DR’s will launch from F6 and proceed SW to 66, 83. Strike 66 if not closed yet by ground forces, strike and close F83. Then RTB F6.

4th FG will launch from F6 and escort DR’s to F83. When DR’s are safe, perform a defensive patrol SW of F6. RTB field 6 when DR’s are landing so you can proceed with Sortie 3.

AI bombers will launch T+30 from F4. They will head S Then turn W to strike F81.

JG-51 will launch from F6 proceed NW to rendezvous with AI Buffs approx NW of F82. (GCI can direct you) Escort AI Buffs to F81.
When AI buffs are safe perform a defensive patrol SW of 82. If low on fuel/ammo, RTB field of your choosing. If fuel and ammo are if good, proceed directly to Sortie 3 orders when Dr’s launch sortie 3.

T+15: Ground Forces will leave S of F74 and head S and will attack F20, 21, 41 in phase 3 eta approx T+70

T+60: Ground Forces will leave F31 to strike 73, 71, 81 (cleanup if AI buffs did not close) eta approx T+90

Sortie 3: Immediately following Sortie 2

JG-51: Cover/defend specified area on map. (F82 to F74) If there is no action, (if we have drawn NME forces to the S) you may proceed S and help 4th engage NME and protect DR’s in 20-21 area. Engage and kill all enemy.

DR’s: will launch F6 and proceed direct to strike F20 and 21. Ground Forces should arrive to strike 20,21 approx T+70 and 41 approx T+80
.
4th FG: will launch F6 and escort DR’s to 20, 21 area. Engage and kill all enemy.

At T+120, we need to start sending JU’s to capture any closed fields. Fields 86 and 83 and Posts 37,38 and 39 will be priority.



IMPORTANT. in the event that the allies make an all out assault on 6, then all FG’s will leave 1 wing to escort current buff mission and ALL REMAINING FIGHTERS defend F6.

Also! Ground forces will have both tanks and SDK’s. If you get into trouble low, if possible fly over our ground forces and they might, just might provide some ack cover for you.
