Probably would have been better to assign fighter squads to seek out and intercept enemy bombers.
Minefields... useless, forget that tactic. TOO much water and small chance of an enemy ship moving into it. Was a waste of the free shot we had at the ships in the beginning of the frame.
Ship targets were mostly static AI ships, firing AAA. They would respawn when killed. level bombers were very effective here, Just need to protect them from the enemy fighters.
Strafing ships was totally ineffective. you would think that the 20mm would be somewhat effective against small ships.. but no they were not and the thick AAA took it's toll on our Jabo pilots.
Very difficult to get local superiority with as much territory that we have to cover and with the enemy knowing where our attack pilots will have to be at.
limited bombers/weapons makes this difficult for the Luftwaffe, we will have to think outside the box to be effective in the following frames.
Armor value on ships is to high to strafe anything, only bombs/torps/rockets will have any effect on them. reminder, there is NO bubble on collisions, only hitboxes that cover artwork. Its LAG, with a 7 second ceiling before discoe, you can be one place when you think your another by only a few feet and that is often enough for a collision. Even if you only have a 1 second delay, that can be enough.....just give them a wide berth height wise. Agree on enemy bomber intercept, quick level/dive bomb strike on ships, dd's first as they have ack of course. A kind request for jabo....stukas? Can we have stukas?
Don't sweat it coolon. There was so little intel for the frame it was impossible to plan properly. The night turned out pretty good considering everything. <S>
