I'd like to thank all those who participated.
My plan on paper and what I envisioned in my mind were actually altered right about T+25. Once I knew the timing of the east side fighters and the actual buff group being where I would like them to break radar were off, I knew I had to adjust on the fly.
It's hard to actually understand the cries for help from the chair we sit in as frame CO. If I had known the bombers would be overtaken and our west coast escort was either out of place or stripped from the buffs, I would have had all fighter groups merge as escort before the bombers broke radar. Doing this might have made a big difference for us in frame IV.
I'd like to apologize to the bomber group for this inadvertent oversight and the loss of the bombers that fell before reaching target. I would also like to thank them in the same breath for sticking to the plan with all the spits swarming around and trying to remove the threat of the box we all fear as a fighter.
Thanks to the 352nd and 4th for grouping up and sticking to the plan and for regrouping and helping escort the second sortie.
Thanks to the 23rd for rolling at T+0 incase they did search out our shipping lanes. Even though this never did happen it was worth making sure they did not score some easy points. You guys did a great job getting back to the bomb group when ordered off the shipping lanes.
Thanks also to LF6 for letting me lead the entire group of axis instead of just the few in LF6. Thanks to tmoa for taking lead of the group.
I think we had a decent night except for the initial bomber loss. I hope the results show favor to the axis, but all in all, I applaud all who gave it their best no matter the outcome.
Thanks to JABO for these S3's.
..... and dawger ... <S> for allied CO.
