Horrido!
Have not heard from Darryl or the NS WRT planes, but I thot our lites did better at lower altitudes and the buffs also do better down below 20K, and above 8K due to the ack. At those altitudes we can zip along at 4 miles per minute in our 88's and do some harm. Then we can come out at 300 mph + in a shallow descent.
If the call is to go in medium altitude with plenty of warning for the Spits to whittle away, we shall follow orders best we can. But we do better below 20K and then above 8 K for acks, with 15K about right. Ask DR's.
Fuel for almost any buff except Stuka is good at 50% or above ( but will check), as we are not flying for an hour to reach tgt or search area.
Working some lines for the port boats and then an egg on something at F220 for the bonus points by closure. Sound good?
Herr Gums sends...
UPDATE!!! S6 shows only 2 housing units up at F220, plus the tower. I do not think the tower has to go, but can try a run on it using S3 settings.
So bonus pts for 220 is within reach.
There are two 75mm AT at 220 that needs put down for closure as well. They are close to the buildings North and South. I believe one of them is down, not sure.
There are two trucks near the ack gun East side of 220 that need dropped as well, at least thats what jabo said. The single truck West is dead I think. Ack guns do NOT have to go down for closure.
He has a list, but isn't at home with it. Trying to get accurate info...but remember that he said earlier that it is possible he will miss something that went down.
As far as ships go, I want to make damn sure 220 closes in one pass. Remember when figuring lines for the ships that you will approaching from the West.
I'm not for micro-managing squads per se. Buffs can decide what altitudes are best for them, just make sure your escorts understand, so they can do what they think is best for the situation.
