We will be using 4 bomber groups each with their own escort. We are going to spread them out and force the allies’s hand to make decisions on the fly. We will approach Malta from 8:00, 10:00, 12:00 and 2:00 at the highest altitude (25k seemed workable offline) conducive to accurate bombing. All bombers should be near, or at bombing altitude when entering enemy radar. Use the JU88’s speed on ingress and egress. Egress for all will be back up 8 line.
All static ships are worth 2 points each, if you have a choice drop on the boats (smallest ships) or freighters, as they are easier to sink.
There are 11 small boats, 10 freighters and 6 destroyers anchored or docked.
I would think keeping your AI close is best, but buff drivers figure it out.
I have yet to figure out the basic target areas for each buff group… should have them up Friday night along with a graphic. Adjust your approach for the best line to drop on. IF you have any bombs left and see ack emplacements, feel free to drop on it.

All buffs - Ju88’s - Load out 4x 500kgs, fuel to be determined-> Buff drivers, input please…seems 60% would work, but I’m a lowly fighter pilot.
All fighters - 109 F4, 100 fuel and drop tanks
Field assignments to be determined.

352nd (around half) - escort DR’s group 1 - Down the vertical 8 line as previous frames to port F227 for shipping. They will be the first buff group on allied radar and be on the 8 line. I would like the 352nd to send say 6 fighters(other half) or so (your decision) as forward sweeps to be on radar a few miles before the actual buff group. Keep in mind the previous videos where allies approached the buffs from differing sides and altitudes to avoid any forward sweep. Do what you do best.

4th - escort DRs group 2 - Down the vertical 10 line to 10,5x (appearing on enemy radar) then directly to port F227 for shipping.

JG51 - escort TK group(possibly a couple buffs from other squads as well) - Down the vertical 5 line to 5,5x (appearing on enemy radar)then turn into Malta for shipping.

23rd -escort NS/UMM group - Down the horizontal 2 line to 6,2x then turn Malta for F220 for closure and possible hit on shipping at F227.

I’ll try and have a graphic of routes sometime Saturday, if possible.

DR group 1 - I’ll be watching on GCI, but holler when you are headed South and 1 sector away (around F118) from enemy radar contact. If all groups are roughly on schedule I will send you South…if not then you may have to alter course to stay off of dar for abit longer.
I will monitor buff groups and release groups 2-4 to enter enemy radar some minutes later.
I will be in tower for GCI and coordinate, so timing hopefully works out.

No S6 frame 3 data yet. Gums and crew: If/when it is posted we can parse it for at least some of the damage at F220 hopefully.

Questions/comments??

~S~ Split

Lf6 = Luftflotte 6 = Jagdgeschwader 51 and Tainan Kokutai. Our distinct dedicated axis squads fly together in the S3s.

TK (3+ pilots) will fly Ju88s with the remainder of Lf6 (Jg51) as fighter cover. We will fly your mission:

Horrido!

Have not heard from Darryl or the NS WRT planes, but I thot our lites did better at lower altitudes and the buffs also do better down below 20K, and above 8K due to the ack. At those altitudes we can zip along at 4 miles per minute in our 88's and do some harm. Then we can come out at 300 mph + in a shallow descent.

If the call is to go in medium altitude with plenty of warning for the Spits to whittle away, we shall follow orders best we can. But we do better below 20K and then above 8 K for acks, with 15K about right. Ask DR's.

Fuel for almost any buff except Stuka is good at 50% or above ( but will check), as we are not flying for an hour to reach tgt or search area.

Working some lines for the port boats and then an egg on something at F220 for the bonus points by closure. Sound good?

Herr Gums sends...

UPDATE!!! S6 shows only 2 housing units up at F220, plus the tower. I do not think the tower has to go, but can try a run on it using S3 settings.

So bonus pts for 220 is within reach.

There are two 75mm AT at 220 that needs put down for closure as well. They are close to the buildings North and South. I believe one of them is down, not sure.
There are two trucks near the ack gun East side of 220 that need dropped as well, at least thats what jabo said. The single truck West is dead I think. Ack guns do NOT have to go down for closure.
He has a list, but isn't at home with it. Trying to get accurate info...but remember that he said earlier that it is possible he will miss something that went down.
As far as ships go, I want to make damn sure 220 closes in one pass. Remember when figuring lines for the ships that you will approaching from the West.

I'm not for micro-managing squads per se. Buffs can decide what altitudes are best for them, just make sure your escorts understand, so they can do what they think is best for the situation.
