That was better than expected...we'll done, Gentlemen.
This frame was pivotal for the series and execution was precise for our goal.
The Strike force lead off with an attack on the Allied radar installations at Leeuwarden (L44), destroying all five coastal stations. This strike blinded the Allies in their northern flank. The Strike guys had no opposition in their attack, for the experten Luftwaffe Jagdgeschwaders provided sound and solid combat blockade, preventing Allied assets from entering the northern airspace.
Luftflotte 6, 475th FG, and the 23rd FG were positioned south of M58/L44 to suppress Allied air forces. With excellent communication and disciplined execution, the Gruppes played tag with the 352nd and supporting squad, effectively neutralizing their presence in this area. Once the strike guys egressed out of L44, the Luftwaffe returned to base for the second strike.
A decision was made to attack M58, rather than the original target of Amsterdam (C40). The Kampfgeschwader Gruppes in Stukas, destroyed the medium airfield in pure Blitzkrieg. The Allied support was again, muffled by the LW fighters. M58 was closed and captured for a stunning turn in the series.
The final sortie of the night was another Stuka strike against the FEBA contested fields at T38-T45. The strike Gruppes came down on the allied tank formations and scuttled field emplacements in support of our Panzers and ground forces.
It was an honor to work with you all this week and look forward to the frame summary and your group AARs.
