AWESOME job DrDart!
We were tasked to hit F138 and F140. We lifted from F34 in our HeE-111’s with our Knights fighters and headed to our assigned target. Our group consisted of the Knights, The New World Order and the Nomads. We climbed to our assigned target altitude of 10k, leveled off and headed south. Soon L6 was with us and it wasn’t too soon. When we were abreast from F141 the Allie fighters found us. With gun blazing and a lot of jinxing our brave escorts were able to fend off the fighters with no bombers lost.
We turned east then south to get lined up with F138. The orders were given to open doors and green up. The targets were assigned and I cut the bombers loose to do their job. BOMBS away I heard over the comms and after a few passes, F138 was CLOSED.
I called the RTB and once again our awesome fighters escorted us to safety. Once down, we rearmed and headed back to close our next target.
This time we didn’t have any attacks. The 352nd were keeping them away and L6 along with our Knight fighters kept us safe. We arrived at F140 and soon, it was closed. Most RTB back to F34 but Gundoc and me were ordered by DrDart to hit F141 with our remaining bombs.
We only left 2 targets and the 4th was able to close it before time was up for the night. Still no enemy tried to stop us and we all landed safely back at our base.
All in all, 4 bases were closed and it was one hell of an action pack night for us!
