F43 icon displays as a dock. Field in terrain looks like a Tank Unit.

Testing done using default offline values
Truck objects at fields (labeled as "carriers") are nearly indestructible, although they do blow up after repeated DHs by 250kgs.
Tank objects (labeled as "weapons") are very easy to blow up (2-3 sec straffing).
Suggest object toughness needs to be reversed.
Objects labeled MaginotL1 and Bunkers are relatively "soft" (~18sec straffing from a 109G6) as compared to piles of ammo storage boxes (28 sec). Suggest Maginot and Bunker objects should be harder to kill.

Thanks Muzz.
Updated the fld file to reflect a couple labelling errors.
Proper object hardness is in the crimea online now. Carrier may have been a carrier setting left over from the first Japan Islands terrain.
I enlarged the GAF icons like you said as well.
Not sure when they will be updated but changes done.

Sticky grass reported halfway down the runways of 281 and 282. May need bounding box on road tool or more flattening.

A few issues with the Crimean map and S3 settings:
I’m not bitching, things happen :)

Top of the list:
Field 281 does not show up pin the in game map (for Macs anyway).
It can only be selected via the filed menu in the tower.
One half of the runway is sticky grass.

The fields should be relabeled Using the same designations from other maps.
LAF (Large airfield)
MAF (Medium airfield)
SAF (Small airfield)
D (Depot)
P (Port)
C (City)
V (Village)
I’m sure it is not going to be left this way (everything labeled as F) but on a map so crowded with Fields designations that overlap it’s very difficult to know whats what.
The symbols help but I think less clutter is better using MAF etc tells you what you need to know.
Field designations should not overlap. On some areas I have to zoom in to such an extent that It’s difficult to read all the necessary information.

Settings:
It’s too dark at the beginning of the frame.
I realize that Warbirds is limited when it comes to graphics, but when it’s hazardous on taking off it’s not any fun.
I almost ran straight into the ground.
If I adjust my monitor I have two choices, little contrast, I can’t see objects on the ground and aircraft and GVs literally disappear right in front of me.
The other choice is enough contrast but if the arena settings are “dark” then I cannot see enough to differentiate between low and high spots on the landscape. It’s very disorienting.

Respectively submitted.

Hey Madcat, taking off early AM in the dark is a bit difficult! Understand warbirds is limited in graphix but why limit warbirds with ur crappy mac graphix? no just kidding , ive heard that some macs are actually good. But im not understanding your problem?

It is very hard to take off sometimes, especially when the runway shears off your landing gear like at field 261. Also field 207 is sticky grass..max speed about 63 mph even on the road/run way.

Last night showed an invisible ridge at the"arrow point" end of F18 a nd it cost
us lives of two pilots landing from that direction.
Some of the structures and ai planes were half buried in the turf.

welll, if its dark and you cant see anything, it can be pretty tough..i squint my eyes and put my face 3 inches closer to screen, pray a little and use rudder from muscle memory (cant see sides of runway).

Tested 5,0 to 9,3 grid
F261 sticky grass south 1/2
F221 sticky SE 1/2, but lots of overrun to the NW
F193 north W/E rwy sticky for last 1/3
F281 sticky south 1/2
F17 west edge sticky (needs another 100 yds)
F280 south 2/3 sticky
F19 (same layout at F193) same problem
other airfields in the box seemed ok.

Was tanking the Crimea terrain (WW2 Arena) and found a bug with the bridges. Tanks or other ground vehicles will not ramp onto the bridges properly. They go underneath the bridges and land on the water. I tried this with several bridges — same results.
