As of this date Saitex has not put out a Driver for Microsoft system 8.1.
I bought a replacement X52 and it didn't work properly so I returned it for a new one. The new reacted in the same way so I called Saitek who advised me the driver for Microsoft 8.1 was not out yet and would be out shortly. Could not give me a date.
Microsoft has struck again.

I am using an X52 on windows 8.1... I have no issues except the repeating one which has been resolved. The fix for that is on our forum on JG-51 and also in a thread on this forum.
I know of one other user who has the X52 and has issues on windows 8 that was upgraded to 8.1. Are you an upgrade to 8.1 or a new purchase.
If your issues are related to the X52 pro and not related to the X52 then I am not sure what problem you are having. I may not be able to help if that's the case.
I hope you get it resolved.

FYI - Doc walked me through the repeat fix and it works on my x52 pro under 8.1.
I am using the current drivers on the Saitek website.

Yes it is ... and its how I use it. But, they (Saitek) do offer rudder pedals as an accessory to the X52 and X52-pro.
