A one frame fun event. B-17G vs B-17G air-to-air bomber duel.

New Guinea terrain, 20 mile grid. See set-up map below.
Tower only radar, 60 mile range, min alt 0 feet, showing country colours.
10K airstart for both sides.
Min fuel 25 percent.
3 AI Wingmen. For bomber login, max distance to jump to an AI wingman is 2000ft, so keep them close!
Buff tuff set at 4.0
Collisions disabled
Killshooter disabled - don't frag a buddy!

Both standard and bomber login will be available. Bomber login is recommended.
Players may participate as either pilots or gunners

Players will be split evenly into two teams; Red and Green.
Side split will be based on number of players, not number of aircraft, i.e. include pilots and gunners. Any players or gunners shot down during the duel may re-join another player as a gunner.

TEAM RED: 352nd, okdoc, lone wolves. DISCORD Axis S3 Channel
TEAM GREEN: 4th FG, 23FG, RCAF, Grim Reapers. DISCORD Axis S3 Channel
Other Squads/players are more than welcome to join prior to each duel start.

Frame will consist of 2-3 duels, time permitting. Objective is to destroy all enemy bombers or drive them out of the battle box.
At T+0 flight will be enabled.
Bombers launch and form up at 10,000 ft outside the Battle Box; RED to the west and GREEN to the east.
When both sides declare they are ready, CM will issue "FIGHT'S ON" command in BLUE TEXT.
All pilots and their AI wingmen MUST enter the battle box immediately.
After entering the Battle Box, but not before, bombers are free to climb/descend as they see fit.
Flight will be disabled to prevent additional aircraft from launching and joining the fight after "FIGHT'S ON" is declared.
Enemy aircraft may be attacked using AI gunners, manned guns or bombs.
Any player who exits the Battle Box for any reason after duel start is considered lost and must RTB. They may re-join the fight as a gunner.
When only one team has aircraft left flying in the battle box, they will be declared the duel winner. Declaration will be made by the CM in BLUE TEXT.
Once all players are back in the tower, CM will enable flight to prepare for next duel. Sides may need to be re-balanced between duels.

Event will finish at 2200hrs EDT.

Choice of comms method is up to the individual player. Voice comms make coordination much easier.
