Attendance last night was extremely low, when the frame started there were 56 LW and 31 Allied. I think, in the future, we should do one less event per year and take more holidays off. We don't want frames to be so one sided as was last night. The LW closed a lot of bases because they had more aircraft doing the closing then the Allies had put together. |

Maybe holidays like yesterday could be a good chance to utilize the ww2 arena for "s3 like" events |

So the LW skill had nothing to do with them taking the lead in frame 2 outnumbered? Or stay in the fight in frame 1? If the allies are relying on numbers to win them the day every frame, every series, perhaps a change in strategy is required... That said I agree. Most of our squad is outdoorsy and want to get away from the computer come June, May even. Unfortunately most holidays fall on or around Sundays so we have to pick and choose. IMO Easter is more important for a frame off than Mother's Day. |

I don't think we need to have people commit to the "Game" on ANY holiday. |

Beaver, Not true about number of bombers we had. Our numbers were low and only 6 bombers and 4 fighters getting the job done. I just had them do hit and run strikes keeping the Allies guessing where they would strike next. |

I for one could care less about who won last night-- but congrats--I agree with many comments here. The bottom line is it should have been a 4 frame series with no S3 last night. I believe as many--"Family First" Just my opinion! |

Hawk, I saw you guys doing it and run, but there was a group of 25 that I counted over 79. When you subtracted our bombers, we didn't have enough fighters to match up evenly. |

Salute! Agree with many who have posted. Results shall be what they be. IMHO, we should look at the schedule early and point out conflicts with holidays and major events like the Super Bowl and so forth. A few years ago we had the S3 crowd agree to fly MA whenever we could to make things interesting and to recruit. Think Christmas holiday week. So that suggestion strikes home to this old fart. One idea of mine is to fly MA during the "break" we have between the end of one S3 and the next. Secondly, the "breaks" are too short, and we don't even get maps and sides and passwords and more until 5 days before the first frame. With the increasing complexity of the events and all the rules, it's tuff. As far as Frame 3 goes, you play the cards you are dealt - pilots, planes, rules, etc. Gums opines... |

I went to the S6, the numbers were not that far off. Anybody care to check my addition? I'm not trying to start a flame war... Allied: 4th FG, x 15 23rd Fighter Group, x 12 Doolittles Raiders, x 10 American Eagles, x 5 416 RCAF The Lynx, x 5 100th FBG, The Haze, x 5 417 RCAF The Windsors, x 2 VFA-211 Fighting Checkmates, x 1 19 Sqn Duxford Wing, x 1 Total-56 46 fighter pilots Axis: 352nd FG The Bluenosed Bastards of Bodney, x 21 Knights who say Ni!, x 10 JG 51 Mölders, x 10 JG 77 Herz As, x 5 Night Stalkers, x 5 Tainan Kokutai, x 3 69th Composite Wing, x 1 Total-55 39 Fighter pilots I didn't try to factor in Raider or Knight fighters. I also think a majority of the Axis side was in the lowly 202 (I mean that in a nice way as I love that underdog plane) vs a fairly large proportion of Spit IXs. Again, not trying to stir stuff up, It's just that I have walked into the same sort of a situation as a frame CO and wanted to call the frame off due to lopsided numbers only to go in and do my best. The Raiders had super high altitude B17s that were a pain to deal with. The Ju88 has gotten a reputation for doing a lot of damage if left unchecked. |
